On the North side of Nunhead Lane, just off the Rye and before the 'Costa Smerelda' there is a large section of overgrown wilderness! :-S

I assume the land is part of the Rye Oak School, I think it used to have temporary buildings on it for the school, but now they just look like they have been demolished and the land is sitting empty. No Planning has been made, so i wondered if anyone connected with the school knows what is planned?

thmastullingthe3rd - are you implying that only events occurring strictly within the confines of the SE22 postal boundary are able to be discussed. Would have thought that things that might affect those living in and around are fair game.

If you want to discuss forum rules this can be moved to the "About the Forum" section.

Or you could PM the Admin team....

Or we could just have a free-for-all and discuss events in Surrey here since that's where I'm from and it's all about ME!

    • Thanks penguin  always wondered about that place and that’s way more info than I ever thought I would get  (used to live above a gun nut on friern road - he would tell me nothing)
    • There was a Saturday afternoon crowd of enthusiasts, and at other times the owner might have been off acquiring stock. He also repaired air guns, which he also sold. He stocked edged weapons, uniforms, including antique uniforms, air guns and ammo and starting pistols and shot. Some medals and other militaria. Quite a lot of ex service chit chat on a Saturday. I had an amateur interest, didn't deal a lot, in English pattern swords and other mainly 19th century militaria. And made some good purchases there. I'm afraid WWII and later events was the major focus of most of the regulars.
