...thought I's start a new thread so as not to hijack snowboarder's one. (I also tried to get the bee raincover on yesterday, gave up, put mini sailor in sling and held an umbrella)

Like JennyH I'm looking into what to get for a sunshade - I was thinking of getting the shade a babe style one rather than a sun hood style one, but as I currently use a muslin to block out stimulation and get her to go to sleep as much as for a sun shade, is that still going to be poss if I have a proper shade a babe? i.e, they may be sun protected but surely they can still see out of the shade a babe so very much wakey wakey rather than sleep inducing muslin?!

Would you peg a muslin over the shade a babe? Or better to go for a hood style sunshade and peg a muslin off that as you would the normal hood of your buggy?

Sorry to be so tedious, so early in the day!

this is quite good and not expensive

sun shade

there are others of same kind on amazon and elsewhere. Good thing with this one is you can see the baby through it so dont have to lift it to obsessively check on baby and end up waking them up (have done that many a time)

Have a look at the protect a bub sunshades. I'm currently using my sister's and it's great. If you want to block out the light completely you can do by pulling down the front and tying the shade further back on the buggy. You can then raise the canopy so when awake the baby can see and still be shaded. Haven't explained it very well but you'd be welcome to come and have a go with mine.

    • The regulator has approved 2nd class deliveries on alternate days, excluding Saturdays. So Monday, Wednesday and Friday on week 1. Tuesday and Thursday on week 2. Don't know when it starts but in theory it will be better than the current haphazard service. Earlier this week I received bills and other items which had been in the post for 2 weeks. Definitely not the fault of the posties.
    • has lost a Bengal cat there was one wandering around Townley Road this morning - I'm assuming it is not the norm for this fellow to be out and about solo but I'm not a cat expert... IMG_5815.heic IMG_5819 2.heic
    • Hi everyone, I'm Gen, a catsitter based in Sydenham - if you're away this summer and need some care for your pets, please do consider me!  I can typically cover Sydenham, Forest Hill, Penge, Anerley, Crystal Palace, East Dulwich and parts of Peckham. If it's outside those areas, it still might be worth messaging me to see if I can help. I'm registered with Cat in a Flat, with flawless reviews – I'm happy to accept clients through there, or just directly (you can just DM me on the forum here) - whichever you're more comfortable with. I've been catsitting for a few years, and also used to volunteer for Celia Hammond. Here's my profile https://catinaflat.co.uk/pet-sitter/377081 Ping me a message if you need help or have any questions!
    • And we humans bear a lot of responsibility for creating the conditions that brought foxes into urban settings. I certainly don't regard them as pests - they are noisy little criminals, but I'm very fond of them (we have huge numbers of them in my area - I rescued a lost baby fox earlier this year). However, there are pest control companies that use humane methods to deter them and redirect them to different territories (a friend of mine works for one, but sadly for OP, I don't think this is in their catchment area).
