I don?t know but there?s about 9 police cars parked up in Overhill road and they?ve blocked the road off.

We live in Dawsons Heights and saw 4 police officers with guns run down our driveway, down Overhill Road and towards Lordship Lane. Anyone have any other details? Flatmates aren't home yet, I've told them to stay away for a while just in case.

Overhill and Belvoir closed off. Lots of police and police cars driving round the closely adjacent streets, including mine, so guessing they are looking for someone on foot or hiding.

Just spoke to a policeman. They are looking for someone after an incident at Dawson heights.

It?s outside my house. The pulled over a car which was initially blocking the road then armed police started searching ours and neighbouring gardens looking for a man in a khaki hooded top who was armed. Doing thorough search then asked residents to move to the front of their properties away from windows overlooking back gardens where they weee searching. The helicopter has moved over but police are still searching. And road still blocked off.

They are just allowing people to come back to their cars now so guessing search called off police packing up and leaving.

I live near Upland Rd & can hear lots of what sounds like motorbike engine noises, heard helicopters too.

I live in Overhill. Been out, just got home. A couple of police cars around but road is not blocked now. Whereabouts in Overhill did this happen? I live opposite Dawson's Heights.

Hi sorry just seen this I?m at 176 overhill next door to old rockbank

Hotel. All clear by around 8.45. Was a bit strange especially when they made everyone in the cars stuck on the street to evacuate to the end of the street. Very strange seeing the abandoned cars and hearing the police looking for him in the gardens. Hope there wasn?t gunshots like someone thought they might have heard and that everyone was ok when search moved over to upland road.

Has anyone seen any mention of this in the media? If not, that makes TWO incidents of armed police and gun crime within a 100 yards of each other with minimal media attention in the last two months.
