Heating engineer required with good electrical skills

Hi,

We have a problem with our heating/hot water that's basically been diagnosed as 2 things:

1. No thermostat on the hot water tank

2. The controller has been wired in incorrectly so doesn't control the heating and hot water correctly

Looking for a good heating engineer, specifically someone who specialises more in the electrical side of things more than the plumbing side of things (if that makes sense!) to confirm the diagnosis and then resolve both issues.

Any recommendations in the local area?

Cheers,

Phil

I recently used LMS Gas services in Forest Hill. Was very impressed with their knowledge. We had similar issues. A man called Mel came out to see us. They don't charge if no work needs to be done. Please say that I (Catherine near St John's School) recommended them.

Thanks, I'll contact them.

    • I’ve referenced it on here before but for context  https://web.archive.org/web/20221221103518/https://god.dailydot.com/bartender-kicks-out-tweets/   I think it’s relevant reading the flags thread - if you look at the people out there protesting and can’t see the problem is them being racist idiots but instead post on here calling people who point out their racist behaviour  “knob heads”   well, both the country at large and forums like this risk becoming nazi bars
    • For reasons not worth going into, I am looking for a Jean Michel Jarre vinyl record that has Rendez Vous 4 and Magnetic Fields 2 on - so probably a greatest hits version. Cheers
    • This is my second recommendation for Leon of Electrical Initiative. He came today to fit two LED light fittings to my flat. No easy task as the wiring is about 30 years old, and the kitchen wiring was connected to the bathroom lights (for some reason). So the job was partially repairing my botched removal of the old strip-light fitting. "That's not so bad," said Leon, as he climbed his ladder and fitted a little connector and soon had the bathroom light back, then he fitted the new kitchen Lepre, and then the one in the living room. All in less than an hour. Thank you Leon!
    • We have had lots of young foxes in our street this year, very cute. We haven't been subject to them Shi**ing all over our garden as our dog owner neighbours have. They seem to be marking their territory. They were quite fond of my car roof (soft top) I boiled up some garlic and regularly spray my roof, it keeps them at bay and my car smelling like roast garlic mmmmm🫢
