supergolden88
Meeting friends for Sunday lunch. Is there anywhere nice near London Bridge/Borough market? We will be 3 or 4 adults + 3 children and a baby. I tried Roast but it is completely booked. BeccaL
Along by Tower Bridge there are lots of nice restaurants right on the river. We loved Blue Print cafe but wouldn't think it that suitable for small children, but there's an Ask and a few others along the front there. About 10 minutes walk from London Bridge I'd say. buggie
Up by tower bridge there's a Strada (has fab views too), it's less than 10mins walk from London Bridge. Otherwise on the thames heading towards Tate Modern there's a Pizza Express... Interested to know any non-chain ideas though! bluesuperted
Second the lovely views at Strada! Pizza Express also has nice views of St Paul's.Other nice choice which I imagine would be babyfriendly is 'Tas' - very nice and reasonable Turkish food down from Borough Market. Is this the Butler's Wharf/Shad Thames area? If so, I think there's a Pizza Express and maybe a Zizzi, too. I can third (edited from second as bluesuperted beat me to it!) the lovely views of the river and Tower Bridge. They have the option of alfresco dining, which reduces the stress a little when eating out with children! Katherine's Dock on the north side of Tower Bridge is also really lovely (it feels more like Monaco than London!). If you google it looks snooty but there's a Zizzi's and a Strada there so it can't be that pretentious/ child unfriendly! edanna
The level 2 restaurant at Tate M, a bit of a walk from LB. Nice walk though. Pickle
There's always Wagamama, good for kids due to speedy service and fun food (can't go wrong with noodles!). From memory it's down towards Vinopolous.
