Along by Tower Bridge there are lots of nice restaurants right on the river. We loved Blue Print cafe but wouldn't think it that suitable for small children, but there's an Ask and a few others along the front there. About 10 minutes walk from London Bridge I'd say.

Is this the Butler's Wharf/Shad Thames area? If so, I think there's a Pizza Express and maybe a Zizzi, too. I can third (edited from second as bluesuperted beat me to it!) the lovely views of the river and Tower Bridge. They have the option of alfresco dining, which reduces the stress a little when eating out with children!

Katherine's Dock on the north side of Tower Bridge is also really lovely (it feels more like Monaco than London!). If you google it looks snooty but there's a Zizzi's and a Strada there so it can't be that pretentious/ child unfriendly!

    • That's not a bad idea, though I also want to keep the site as simple and user friendly as possibly. It's ultimately about getting a balance between being informative and being a good read. Stars are useful but I'd like people to read the reviews too.

    • Sue. You really don’t have to keep saying about the electoral system    a) we all know about it b) it doesn’t matter    FPTP is the system we have always had and hopefully we will get rid of it someday but it is what it is    when anyone suggests changing the system Corbyn is right there at the front of the queue to prevent it   so its pointless him or any of supporters complaining about it    the evidence you want is the result of the elections. You can’t have clearer evidence.
    • Has anyone from the school commented? Have they said why? Is it a fresh start? Is it that Grove in the name may have connotations of wealth and they want to attract more applicants from a wider area? Is that it currently is linked to the DKH Estate?
