I was listening to Half Man Half Biscuit's new album CSI:Ambleside alst night, and couldn't help bu think of our Louisa during Lord Hereford's Knob

"As I camped out one evening to take the midnight air

I heard a maiden grieving from somewhere over there

Who is it you are mourning

For whom do you wear grey

She said I pine for no one, I just can?t pay my way

Ever since the chattering classes invaded Hebden Bridge

And priced the likes of me and mine

To the pots of the Pennine Ridge

To South East Wales I was forced to flee

And now I have no job

That?s why tonight I?m sitting on top of Lord Hereford?s Knob"

    • Brilliant emergency weekend service from Aria from AFE Plumbing to replace our stopcock valve as it started leaking heavily on Saturday. He explained everything clearly and completed the job efficiently. Kind and well-mannered, would highly recommend!
    • Hello everyone, We have lost our wonderful moggie, Cookie.  She's been missing for over a week now and was lost around the back of our house on rail track land around Croxted Road/Turney Road junction. Please do keep an eye out for her and if you see her please let us know urgently as she isn't familiar with the area at all, we are very worried.  She has a microchip (with my brother's contact details) She's black with ginger/brown markings, very distinctive. If you have had sightings of her or seen her at anytime please let do let me know, Henna 07941 047094 If you could post on your local/street groups too, I'd be very grateful. Thank you!
    • Police Officers aren't permitted to strike, so why are all the other emergency services allowed to?
    • Brother and sister in law live opposite hospital . Visited yesterday and forgot to take the lovely bunch of flowers I'd bought for them . Hoping that by the magic of Christmas someone might be going that way and could drop them off /leave on doorstep .Which is well away from road .
