4yr old girl - superhero fancy dress ideas?

Birthday party this weekend stipulates 'superhero' fancy dress theme. Lots for boys out there, but not so much for girls. This is the first 'fancy dress' party my daughter's gone to so NO idea what to do. Have been checking out ebay but there's not much choice (Batgirl or Wonder woman - neither of which I particularly like for a 4yr old).

Any genius not-expensive ideas out there? Peeerleeeaaassseeeeee!

Crikey, that's very specific! I am lucky to get any clothes on my kids at all, let alone fancy dress!

Personally i would blow it and let you little one dress up in a theme of her own. I don't think people usually mind.

This is probably massive overkill and way too much work but I know a little girl who has a superhero cloak with her initial embroidered on it. Would it be possible to buy a cloak and stitch one on out of felt?

(though even as I'm typing I'm thinking Crikey, what a hassle...)

Make one up - flower girl or ballet kid or whatever she's into. As long as she's got a cape and a mask and some imagination it'll be easy peasy!

You can get someone else to do a cape with personalised initial on Etsy and it doesn't cost much....though may be sent from the U.S depending on who you buy it from I guess. They look pretty cool!

We've got a supergirl dressing up set which came from M&S - I don't think they do them any more though :( If you wanted to borrow, you'd be welcome (would offer to give it to you but my daughter might kill me!). PM if you're interested!
