The backs of both wing mirrors on our Mini Cooper have been ripped off. So annoying, can't imagine someone actually wanted them. We've had a look around, but if anyone finds something chucked into their garden that looks like it might be one or both (they'll look like an empty black plastic dish, the innards have been left on the car) please contact me before you throw them away. The car was parked on Goodrich Road, just off the crossroads with Landcroft Road. Thanks!

Check your cars, folks, but can't see what we can do to prevent this sort of thing. The car was parked on Goodrich Road, just off the crossroads with Landcroft Road. Thanks!

A colleague at work has recently had the door mirrors stolen from her Mini Cooper S (BMW need ?300 parts most effective). whilst she knowledgeable the police it turned into the eleventh case that weekend in the location so truly a person became doing the rounds and no question those will seem on ebay or similar.

They had been removed suprisingly without problems and they left no damage to the doorways - they did a real precise task.

Reputedly all you do is pass something to get entry to the securing bolts {wording barely modified so as now not to present away a way to get rid of them - DD. Then they come easy off.

Saw someone had done this to a mini on Underhill last week.

They?d pulled it off obviously as it from the footpath side, not bashed on the road, and was lying across the road under another car. Sorry to hear so many thick people out there think they?re funny

Same happened to me, extremely annoying!

-Sorry to hear. Probably parts stolen to order. I once had the entire interior of a Golf VR6 stolen (seats, leather trim - even the gear knob). They left everything else - even a bunch of CDs and the money in the coin drawer.

Woah thats crazy!

Thanks, all. The garage didn't seem surprised either, and already had some in that matched well enough. (Felt a bit silly when I saw how quickly they popped them on, though.) Anyway, I'll stop whinging now I've heard about davidq's Golf, and maybe tomorrow I'll stop looking out of the window to make sure we still have a whole car...

    • I would also like to add my recommendation for James.  I had taken four names of electricians from the forum - in the order I had read the reviews.  First three no response - even days later. I phoned James this morning. He answered, gave me a time, stuck to it, messaged again 15 mins before arrival.  He fixed my problem on the spot.  Sensible charge out fee. Perfect service.
    • Most recent polls for the next election suggest it will be a hung parliament, with Reform the largest party by a fair margin. But that is predicated on Reform finding around 300 candidates who are actually electable. Given the number of Reform council candidates who have had to drop out prior to or after the local elections, does that seem likely? Social media is pretty unforgiving when it comes to finding skeletons in cupboards; a retweet or a like seems enough to scupper political ambitions. A few may defect from other parties, but do you think the electorate would really vote for so many brand new MPs from a newish party?  I'm not so sure.
    • To be fair, anything which waylays someone on their way to Palma Nova or Lloret de Mar from spending even more pre-flight time in Spoon's surely has some merit? I think losing a few quid on a litre of Bacardi and 200 Benson & Hedges Gold seems a reasonable price for society to pay. ,
