Child Benefit Exemption Letter

Hi,

We don't qualify for child benefit. Does anyone know how I get hold of a letter to prove exemption as evidence to present to the school as proof of address? Thanks

Thanks, their systems are down at the moment, IT issues!! Also since the original post you have to speak to the automated system, they don't recognise the request so you have to hang on for the adviser.

We used a letter from our GP surgery to prove address, might be easier?

Pretty sure your voting card for the election would be admissible as proof too.

It may vary by school but for us, we had to provide proof of address for the child specifically - polling card therefore would not have been sufficient. Easier said than done!

You may have been informed of your lack of entitlement to Child Benefit by the DWP by letter, so this could be useful to present.
