Thanks James, but why would they need portakabins?

There are also two portaloos, which I can understand if coach drivers are there for a long time, but portakabins??

Crikey, Radiant Bhuna, that doesn't sound very comfortable! There are no windows, for a start!

Well I wouldn't fancy sitting around in artificial light all day!

I'm wondering now whether I actually meant Portakabins. Maybe they are just large containers. Who knows what for. Will have a closer look next time I'm up in that direction!

Sorry, just stating 'the bright yellow gates with padlocks on so who knows' and like you I'm wondering what's going on with the old Harvester pub. Spent many a happy time with family and friends there and was sad it suddenly closed.

Yes, that was probably what I meant. Sorry for any confusion!

I assume coach drivers wouldn't need to store equipment, so could the containers be for builders?

Has any planning application (or whatever) actually been approved yet?

There was a public meeting about the future use of this land/building - last year I think? There is a thread about it on here somewhere. If memory serves, there was a possibility of some kind of community arts centre? (Chance would be a fine thing, I guess).

This should be a direct link to all planning applications for the Grove Tavern. I can't see anything recent - Louisa, what are we missing?

From what I can gather, the company that originally ran the Harvester are still paying rent for the premises. That Dulwich Estates want to build flats on the site as they wish to get the income from developer. Dulwich Estates are not interested in low money making schemes!

Brilliant idea foxy. Would certainly ease the congestion on residential streets. Ship the commuters off to ED or FH for Overground.

Louisa.

    • What is it that makes Waitrose so special! Admittedly I have shopped a couple of times in the Orpington and Beckenham one - sometimes buying food which I cannot get else where. Their 'basic range' is not bad. Price for price and quality - M & S.
    • Sometimes a shed or other installation has to have written approval from the freeholder i.e. Southwark, Southwark has (or did have) a Leaseholder Association.   Could also come under Anti Social Behaviour Unit.
    • Love Dulwich is great but has a large step in front. We have only been weekdays at Lunch time. Maria's next to Picture House is disabled friendly. Also can reserve table in advance. We did a Sunday lunch catch up with family - there were 8 of us.
    • Hi, Thinking about  going with some friends and was just wondering if folk might like to report back please. Most importantly sound level when busy & is it disabled friendly.  Thinking on a Sunday lunchtime but don’t want a busy busy environment or loud chatter - a couple of friends could not cope. Time can be flexible, if that helps - say 2 ish to avoid above.. Thanks…
