Pseudonyms are more for stopping prospective employers googling for you and asking very awkward questions in job interviews as one forumite discovered the hard way when she was interviewing for the post of Kanye West's bling polisher.

Not such a problem if you happened to be a john smith, not that we have one of them, but I've yet to discover anyone with my name.

I thought that was illegal - I am sure I did some training where you could use social networking sites as an excuse not to hire. I am sure people do it though.

Anyway off topic - can we be lounged from the lounge.

I like giddygecko - it creates a nice image of an off balanced lizard.

We did ponder a comintern for interminable class war threads and a dungeon where threads that mention clapham could go, also a drawing room for serious debate (I'd still love to see that mark), but no, no lounging lounge threads that offtopicate.

Anyhooooo, 6722kane, I just can't believe 6721 kanes had registered previously, sushi, well, cos it's one of my favourite foods and bumpkin as it's one of my favourite words.

    • Yes it would be easier, and I give a lot to the hospice shops, but for various reasons there are certain things I prefer to give to Oxfam. However I might go through the books and see if some could be donated more locally.
    • The other side of P13 drivers being risk averse is that I  have been on P13s at night that speeded (?sped?) down Underhill Road so fast I seriously thought they might crash.
    • Some P13 drivers appear very risk averse. I live in Underhill and on that road drivers are forced to back away, often considerable distances, from buses to allow them to pass, even when the bus has an immediate space it could back into. The driver at the time said that buses 'weren't allowed to back'. So reports of cars 'blocking' P13s might mean simply that the car was legally parked but the road too narrow,or the bus driver not prepared to risk advancing. NB some P13 drivers are both skilled and courteous, but not all.
    • I’ve experienced the same in Herne Hill. It’s definitely linked to where there are already marked bays, it prevents you from parking within approx 200-400 metres around the bay. Dulwich Village has quite a few bays, which probably explains why you’ve noticed it there and not elsewhere.
