well its been 3 in 3 yrs, Hughes only in for 18months-bloody stupid IMO, he should have been given the the rest of the season. 2 losses this season(best in Prem), Rags have lost 5 so far and nobody is calling for Baconface to be sacked-sometimes our supporters disappoint me- Hughes has been doing what he said he would, 6th by end of season, yes we've thrown points away but ffs, we are still well in the running, with a game in hand

Mancini's transfer targets for January are thought to be Liverpool duo Fernando Torres and Javier Mascherano, Bayern Munch winger Franck Ribery, Atletico Madrid striker Sergio Aguero, Benfica winger Angel Di Maria, Barcelona duo Yaya Toure and Thierry Henry and West Ham defender Matthew Upson.

Probably a bit of both and also the desperation of the media in dragging up the usual suspects for anyone's shopping lists. Anyway, going to get myself an agent - reckon should be worth at least ?500k (or more if you use Lescott as the benchmark).

?I was informed after yesterday?s match against Sunderland that my contract with Manchester City was being terminated with immediate effect. Notwithstanding media coverage to the contrary, I was given no forewarning as to the Club?s decision. Given the speed with which my successor?s appointment was announced, it would appear that the Club had made its decision some considerable time ago.

I am extremely disappointed not to have been given the opportunity to see through my plans at the Club. At the beginning of the season I sat down with the owners and it was agreed that a realistic target for the season would be 6th place in the Barclays Premier League, or in the region of 70 points. All of this was communicated to the players and we all knew where we stood. Whilst everyone at the Club would obviously have wanted to see more wins, we were absolutely on target at the time of my dismissal. Only recently we had terrific victories against both Arsenal and Chelsea.

I am very proud of the fact that I steered the Club through the most significant period of change in its history.

I have always been aware of the responsibility that comes with being afforded the luxury of a significant transfer budget, and I was grateful that the Club supported me with significant investment in players. I very much regret, however, that I will not now be able to enjoy the success that would undoubtedly have followed in the light of that investment.

I believe that I have handled with dignity the recent pressure placed upon me by press speculation.

I would like to thank the fans for their support throughout my time at the Club and particularly at this difficult time, and I wish the Club every success in the future, particularly in relation to the forthcoming Carling Cup semi-final, the Club?s first semi-final for 28 years.?

Almost half-term and we're 7th rather than 17th which I'd have accepted. Unbeaten in nine games, our run coincides with regime change at St Andrews (about which I had my doubts) which seems to have spread an enthusiasm throughout the club. McLeish conducts himself with quiet dignity and the team are playing for each other and showing great commitment. Staying up remains the first priority but having bagged 28 points so far goes a long way towards that target. Who knows, seems like may have to dust off my old AA Road Map of Europe yet - seems like there's a few new nation states since our last foray. Now for a good whisky and a chorus of Keep Right On..........

great performance from west ham. There was there was only one team that deserved to win (and it was not chelsea). Great to hear the bubbles at the end. Every team should have an anthem like that one.

West Ham certainly looked good from what I saw and should have no worries about relegation if they can sustain that level of football but I still thought Chelsea finished the stronger team once they'd equalized. Mike Dean tried to level up the wrong penalty by making Lampard retake the pen 3 times but come on would he have done a retake if Lampard had missed?

As said before keane was is, and will always be a coont that nobody likes. Oh and by the way Viera didn't ever break a players leg or maim another player on purpose, unlike the coont Keane. An accomplishemnt of which I'm sure Keane is very proud. Tw@t.

As for the results over the weekend, well you've got to laugh at the shambolic Liverpool, well in Fulham and unlucky West Ham, robbed by a prick of a Linesman.

I thoroughly enjoyed taunting Tango at the Arsenal yesterday, horrible Allardyce acolyte knob.
