That'll become apparent when personal terms are discussed. Personally, not sure if it's a good move or not. Presume minimum contract will be 2.5 years and there will be minimal re-sale value for a 33 year old Keane. So overall package will cost ?15m allowing for wage demands. Suspect will get good use out of him this season but his interest seems to wane. If it goes through, I hope he does well, just have reservations.

Will be interesting to see west ham fans view if o neill gets the job. They certainly couldn't have hoped for a higher calibre manager. There will be some who will be snobbish about the o neill style of play but i think these comments often come from the ill informed and i would suggest you wait and see.


Ill be following west ham with interest if he does take it . Is suggest he must have been given a huge incentive to take the job in terms of transfer budget as the initial rumours were he did not want the job.

I thought the manner of Liverpool's sacking of Hodgson was bad enough but West Ham, dear oh dear.


I guess fans can look forward to some "Allardyce lite" football. O'Neill is a great manager but just can't see him not falling out with the lovely Gold, Sullivan and Brady.

It seems noone I know who supports Liverpool wants him.


I'd suggest O Neill will have a break clause in his contract allowing him to move at short notice if any big job does come his way but in the meantime he'll give West Ham his all and I'd like to think he'd keep them up.

      Initially, when all the discussion took place at Bradbury some of existing building was to be demolished which meant that 3 flats would go but these residents would have to wait until new building erected to be housed. No indication has been given as to where people would be placed during building. I am glad that the tree is to remain - Bradbury residents contacted various environmental groups to lobby for tree to remain. I gather that there is likely to be a question of restricted views to be made by Wood Vale residents as 5 stories is significantly higher than current building.
