Why would signing a striker release a keeper? Besides, Reina would never leave us to go to United - and you can quote me on that. I think he is one of the only players left that actually has an decency and is true to his word.

I'm amazed that all you lot (who claim to be avid Manc fans) refer to your beloved team as "Man U". I was of the understanding it's deeply offensive to you. I'm not trying to pick a fight here either, I've just noticed it a lot recently.

Armchair fans who never go to a match. Let's be honest how many of the Man Utd fans on here actually go to Old Trafford or to be more precise have actually ever been?

.......and I've been at the Lane a few times too. Saw Spurs beat QPR once 5-0 compliments of David Puttnam whose season ticket I had. Also there in 86 where the title was on the line and they lost 1-2 to Everton. Was at the Coventry cup final too. Have two brothers who support Spurs.

Even if one of the apparently doesn't want to be there?

Lost a lot of respect for Torres in the last few weeks, it seemed like he thought he was too good to play for Hodgson but has decided to bother under Dalglish. Although as it turns out maybe he's just decided to attract some attention for a transfer.

When all's said and done I'm sure he wants to play in the Champions League which seems at best unlikely with Liverpool for next season so no real surprise Chelsea suits with Drogba on the way downhill, it's the obvious destination ruling out United as they're United, City as they're a gamble and Arsenal as they won't spend money.

"Once I knew Celtic's interest, it was an easy decision for me.

"I would have chosen Celtic, no matter what.

"I would go as far as to say it's a dream come true.

This is a guy who knows the right things to say and wants to win an SPL medal...things are looking up at Celtic.

Eh - anyone heard of him before ?

Can't agree with that Ruffers. Play the ball to Torres' feet and he'll score you a goal. If you try and play fetch with him he's not as effective. Under Hodgson's tactics he wasn't getting a decent service. Look at how much further up the pitch we've played in our last few games. There's the difference.

Re this transfer stuff, it looks as though he's going. Gutted to be honest, in some ways I don't blame him. He was promised lots under our previous owners and nothing was delivered. I don't really blame him. Going to Chelsea will be a bitter pill to swallow though. If it's true, he's an arse fir the way he has gone about it. Time will tell.

I'd agree it's part of the difference but would argue the other part is down to effort. He just didn't look like he was even trying for Hodgson.

Agree with both Anna and Ruffers, Torres got no service earlier this season, but still, he didn't exactly look for it. Anyway, gutted to hear about the transfer request, thought he was turning in to Liverpool through and through, but guess he just fancies a few thousand quid a week more.

Although he could just be doing a Rooney and blackmailing the club for a few tens of thousands a week extra.

It becomes an interesting one, taking Rooney as the example. "i'm off, the club's not showing the ambition".. "Here's a load of money".... "OK, I'll stay"

Tevez - "I'm off" .. City "No, you're not (and presumably lots of other stuff)"... Tevez - errrr OK

Torres "I'm off, no ambition" ...LFC.. "Err, we just signed Suarez" ... Torres .. "erm. Chelsea?"

    • Where did I say he did a good job? Yup and Corbyn was very close to Len McCluskey and funded by Unite wasn't he...they're all as bad as each other... Labour have to purge their party of the far-left - they're a disaster. Allan Johnson summed it up so well on election night in 2019....
    • Thank you for the detailed advise @trinidad It is definitely damage we are concerned about. I don’t think Evri would agree to pay the bill to fix our gate or letter box if they were to be damaged as a result of their delivery drivers helper. Our doorbell can be heard from outside when rung so we don’t quite believe the aggressive simultaneous door/letter box banging is necessary. It can be quite a shock it is done very aggressively.  I’ll definitely action the steps you’ve kindly provided along with a phone call tomorrow. I do sympathise with the role drivers have and how busy they are, which is why we tried communicating directly with her but sadly we haven’t succeeded
    • What outcome would you like? Disciplinary action? Not to have the driver back? Retraining? I know there is alot of pressure on drivers to deliver within a set day. if he slams the gate, is it evidence he is causing damage, or is the noise a irritant to yourself? You could put a sign up or buy a signing asking to close the gate gentle???? can you hear the door bell from the door? he might be ringing, not hearing and therefore knocking. In trhe notes section of the be livery page, there is a note section, although there is not 100 per cent these notes would be read as these drivers are constantly rushing.  I did a google search for you, i found this and you can try the envri website Contact Us | Evri   To complain to Evri, you can follow these steps: Contact Customer Service: Call Evri's customer service at 0330 808 5456 for assistance with your complaint.    1 Write a Letter: Address your complaint to Capitol House, 1 Capitol Close, Morley, Leeds, West Yorkshire, LS27 0WH.    1 Use the Official Website: Visit the Evri complaints page on their official website for detailed instructions on how to submit a complaint.    2 Email or Call for Specific Issues: For issues like missing or damaged parcels, you can email or call 0800 988 8888, which is free to call.    1 These methods will help you effectively communicate your concerns to Evri.   My driver is called anthony, he is brilliant to be honest. I cant fault him.
    • When I have more time and energy, I will look up the actual number of votes cast for each party in that election, rather than the number of seats won. I'm interested to see that you apparently  think that  Boris Johnson did a good job of "leading the country through Covid." Is your memory really that short? I won't stoop to calling Johnson and his cronies names in the way that you seem to think is appropriate for left wing politicians. At least the left wing politicians have some semblance of morals and a concern for people who aren't in some over privileged inner circle and/or raking in money for themselves on the back of an epidemic. I'm not going to open a can of worms on here  by commenting on the disgraceful so called "purge".
