Now that I'd like to see.

Careful, your lack of wit is showing.

Don't be silly. I can't see that happening. Well, not yet anyway. There's plenty mileage left in Harry yet and I reckon he'll be back in charge for the next game against Aston Villa on November 21st.

Still this could make things go tits up for him if he's found guilty - Harry's up before the beak next year.

Depends on the outcome of this trial of course, but I begrudgingly admit he is the best man for the job.

For a Pompey fan it is actually a win win situation. He succeeeds then England are succesful! He fails and he falls flat on his twitchy jowelly face!

Hurrah for Harry!

btw also agree about best friendly in ages. Well played (for once) England - without the prima donnas!

England 30% possession to Spains 70%, if we believe that those are the kind of figures that will help us succeed in 2012, we'd all better think again. Allow the likes of Germany or Portugal that kind of possession and England will get punished big time. On another day had Spain been more clinical with their finishing, it could have been a very different story, and the beating we all expected, well most of us any, would have happened.

A creditable win no doubt against the current World and European champs but it only papers Englands weaknesses.

All too true but there is more than one way to skin a cat. Allowing for our deficiencies Capello got his tactics spot on. Not pretty to watch I'll admit but it got the result that we wanted.

I thought there were some pluses in that some of the young players did well and got some very good experience under their belts. Rodwell and Welbeck in particular. And Scott Parker showed once again with his man of the match performance that the holding position should be his.

I do hope for England's sake Capello doesn't just resort to going back to the old guard when the Euro's come around. I'm not sure that his captain is actually good enough to hold down a place if all things were equal.

For all Spain's possession they rarely looked like scoring and as much as I enjoy their style it should be remembered that they won the WC by winning all their knock out matches 1-0. They also lost to Switzerland in the group. Perhaps Barca are a better team than Spain.

> Harry will manage England before he retires. FACT!

Given that Redknapp is standing trial for tax evasion it would seem unlikely if he'll ever manage England in the future. The FA has a track record in selecting managers with squeaky clean records. Otherwise, Brian Clough, the people's choice, would have been an England manager years ago. And why was Graham Taylor appointed for the England job then?

Shame really, as I feel Redknapp can do a decent job for England and certainly help them to play football in the right way.

    • In case anyone is renovating or stripping out an old kitchen, I am looking for a base kitchen unit or carcass to house an oven for a temporary set up kitchen.   Also looking for a run of worktop at least 180 cm long if anyone is disposing of something like this, I would be happy to collect.   thanks   Mila
    • Big recommendation for Stephen Viccary who has created a magnificent bathroom for us. Quality of work is absolutely top notch. We couldn't be happier - see pics.  Stephen is considerate and tidy meaning working from home during the work was fine (some noise - obviously, it is a demo and installation after all. He does not work on multiple jobs, does a full days work and does ALL the work himself - Tiling, plumbing, lighting (including lighting on a motion sensor under the vanity and in the shower niche - for night time visits 😉), he even changed the door architraves, sorted the badly cracked ceiling and did all the paint work. A full end to end service. Stephen's number - 07941 266 145
    • Highly recommend Dulwich Eco Gardening.  When he came to quote Saied said he’d give our garden back so we could decide what we do next.  Under two weeks of hard work from Saied and Mo and we have the garden back and can see paving I’d forgotten about. Not only did Saied remove our very overgrown greenery. Nature had taken over. He also took back to our fence line overgrown ivy, apple and pear trees and and dealt with a neighbours bamboo that had invaded our garden.  We are now going to get quotes for what we do next so those quoting will be able to see the space.  Saied has suggested someone to quote and will be coming back when he does in case he has any questions or they can work together.  I thought Saied would be a good choice and he was. Quotes from others didn’t leave me with confidence for the end result. That was never a concern with Saied.
