Not sure if Jah Lush agrees, but I think Spurs' defence is just as good as the best in the premiership. I never thought I would say that in my lifetime.

I'm looking forward to the game involving Spurs v Man City on the 22nd. A defining moment for both teams. Interesting tug of war type game with Spurs playing with wingers and City pushing up their full backs.

If Spurs have a weakness then it's because they don't score enough goals.

The defence has been pretty solid especially when Ledley King plays. We've not lost with him in the side since August 2010. Unfortunately he can't play every game. What has also improved our defence is having Scott Parker in front of the back four. He does a lot of tidying up and gets plenty of tackles in to win the ball for us and give it to Luka Modric to work his magic. Sandro does a similar job but he's out injured again too.

Younis Kaboul has improved tremendously this season and has really benefited playing alongside King and the very experienced Willem Gallas who unfortunately is injured again. Michael Dawson is back tomorrow and so am I. Going on Wednesday too against Everton - our game in hand. If we can win that it'll show how much we've improved to stay in the top three ahead of Arsenal, Chelsea and Liverpool and will take us level on points with Man Utd.

I agree the 22nd against Man City could well be the defining moment in the season. It'll be a crucial game for both sides and we'll want revenge for the embarrassing trouncing we got at White Hart Lane early in the season. I'd be very happy with a draw up there and so would Man Utd with both teams dropping points.

People tend to forget that Spurs had a unsettling start to the season when Modric was under serious transfer speculation. It's not surprising they lost by a large margin to the two Manchester teams in their first two games. Look what happened to Arsenal with their unsettled start to the season. Spurs have shown tremendous character to get this far in the season.

A win against City will give Spurs a teriffic boost to their confidence and belief. It'll be a tight game at 1-0 to either side I think.

They were 130/1 for the title. If only.....if only.

It's a song my daughter has learned at singing classes. That's the only reason I looked into it. Was surprised when Wikipedia said spurs still played it. I wonder how many spurs fans know what it is.

Missed the match, and have only seen the reports today. I am assuming you're talking about the fan(s) behaviour rather than the scoreline (which in itself is a damn shame).

My response is the same as it would be for any other club. It is not the fault of the club that some of it's supporters are ignorant cunts. Assuming the individual(s) have been identified, they should be banned for life from attending matches, and if possible and appropriate, should be charged by the police.

It is a big shame that it has happened now, what with recent events, but I would absolutely refute any suggestion that Liverpool FC is in some way a racist football club.

It is also a big shame that a good result on the pitch has been overshadowed.

    • Hi all, Wondering if anyone else in/around SE22 is also having the unfortunate luck of having Evri parcels delivered by a very rude individual? Whenever we have parcels delivered, our front gate is being slammed open and closed, ring doorbell is harshly banged (not pressed) followed by simultaneously banging on the door knocker and slamming the letter box multiple times. Someone is normally home by the time they come in the evening and never has to wait long for an answer. If we’re not home, we speak to them on the doorbell so we do find the actions of this individual unreasonable and rude.  We have tried a couple of times politely asking that they not do this but they are very dismissive and gives a passive-aggressive “have a nice day” reply.  Has anyone been able to contact Evri and successfully had any issues similar to this resolved? We have enough evidence through our doorbell footage but we are lost with what else we can do. We’ve tried asking politely but don’t want our gate or door damaged by someone who simply doesn’t care and lacks basic manners.    If anyone else is having this issue or has any advice on how we can report this, it would be much appreciated. After another dismissive reply to my concern this afternoon, I will be calling Evri tomorrow to raise a complaint. I have lost my patience with them
    • Corbyn was unelectable - he got trashed by Boris who was a buffoon. It was a good job too because I would have hated to see Corbyn and his rag-tag bunch of far-left university politics backbenchers try to lead the country through Covid.  It is completely understandable why Starmer and the Labour Party want to purge Momentum from within their ranks and Cllr McAsh has fallen victim of that.
