I agree, there I've said it.

Something much bigger?...didn't have you down as a conspiracy theorist SJ :)

I'm sure Fergie will have a quiet word with him.

Re. Spurs' goal yesterday...had the referee given the penalty and sent Cech off, rather than playing advantage that led to the goal, it may have been a different outcome.

Don't understand why he couldn't have sent Cech off anyway. It was a sending off defence. Refs can go back and book players for foul play (it happened yesterday) after letting advantage go so why not here? Just because Spurs scored does not make it less of an offence.

Ashley Young's diving was pathetic and I'm glad to see Fergie has at least commented on it. He doesn't like it.

He could only send him off for violent conduct (it wasn't) or denying a clear goal-scoring opportunity (they scored so that is cancelled out too).

Was waiting for that! Thats why we had to put a few more past them to avoid the endless 'what ifs', and 'buts. .'

Read 'em and weep Harry. . . .er on second thoughts maybe just weep !

I agree Jah, and a lot of the credit should go to their chairman Dave Whelan...many others would've lost their nerve in January.

If 'arry does get the England job, Martinez along with Brendan Rogers should be a candidate for Spurs manager, but if I was a Spurs fan I would want Moyes. I think after 10 years he will leave Everton this summer. Without investment I don't think he can take Everton any further...he cut a very deflated figure after the semi-final.

Good point Tanday but if ever anyone has earned the right to try its Moyes. Its been a rollercoaster ride with 'Arry but without a smidgen of tactical nous applied when desperately needed hes been found out when it matters most. My beloved chickens have well and truly choked. Its the hope what gets you. ;-)

That's the thing with 'arry. He's obviously great with the players, but has he really got it tactically? After a recent loss, he said something along the lines of "people say we play well like that, but for me, it doesn't work so well".

So why did he play like that, because other people suggested it?!?

Great sides, these days, are able to stifle the opposition as well as producing fluid attacking football.

The problem with Moyes is that he hasn't got hardly any strikers. His latest forward acquisition from Rangers looks like a decent player though.

I think Moyes got the FA cup semi-final tactically right since Liverpool's srike force couldn't really score in a Wayne Rooney brothel. However, the mistakes by Everton gave the Livepool strkers the confidence to score goals that won the game.

    • Because of the weather which delayed completion with roofer only being able to work certain days, it was up from November - end of January. Went slightly higher than gutters (we also had guttering replaced).
    • It's tough being a courier and the pay which is largely based on the number they deliver is miserable. Hence the staff turnover is high. EFRI was previously branded as HERMES but they had to create a new brand name because of poor performance. We get regular courier deliveries and EVRI are by far the worst. They just drop the parcel at the front door - often without ringing the bell. But worst is when they deliver to the equivalent door number on LL instead of ours on EDG. Best are ParcelForce, DHL and DPD by a wide margin.
    • I know the couple you mean, and she has always been friendly and smiley when delivering to me, but obviously in a hurry, for all the reasons outlined in the thread. My gate is always open, however (unless someone coming to the house closes it when they leave). I can't see the point of gates that have to be opened and shut again every time someone comes to the house. It just seems a waste of time, and it's annoying if you are carrying stuff. And a closed gate  conveys a sort of "my house is my fortress" feel. To me, anyway.
