I think the Ch5 documentary promotional series has triggered a narcissistic/messianic complex in Rodgers and he is on a downward spiral that will see him caught naked shouting ourside Mike Riley's house one early Sunday morning or throwing rocks at the FA's windows screaming "It's because I'm from Ballymena isn't it ya b*st*rds!?"

"Another master stroke from Rogers I see."

Nice to see you coming round to my way of thinking about him Otta ;-)

Wait until he unleashes his master stroke Plan B tactics to get Liverpool out of the shit they're now in....oh no, hang on....Rogers with a Plan B....sorry....as you were Liverpool.

I've not made up my mind, I do like things about what he is doing, but I think his hand has been forced with the youth policy because he didn't get funds for more players. I do cringe at times about the things he says, butwhen Hodgson was "too respectful" to opposition, or honest about downfalls, he got slaughtered by the fans. They like a bullish strong manager.

Arsenal 2 Chelsea 2

Everton 2 Southampton 2

Fulham 0 Man City 2

Norwich 2 Liverpool 2

Reading 0 Newcastle 3

Stoke 2 Swansea 1

Sunderland 2 Wigan 0

Man Utd 3 Tottenham 2

Aston Villa 1 West Brom 2

QPR 1 West Ham 2

Hmmm, three 2-2 draws... Hope I'm wrong about the Liverpool one.

Especially given that in the early days they had actual bum licking on late at night!

I meant that Rodgers will probably continue to react and over-act thanks to the presence of the cameras and, like all narcissists, would think the show portrays him as a genius/savant rather than David Brent mkII.

When I previously described the show as an 'Anfield arse licking' I meant that the makers obviously intended it to show Liverpool in a positive light - but everything from Rodgers' ludicrously pompous and confused pronouncements to Clive Owen's ridiculously orgasmic narration only serve to make the club a bit of a laughing stock - imho.

Not so much car-crash telly as motorway pile-up.

I "look forward" to having a look tonight...

I didn't think there would be that much Rogers in it, as I was under the impression most opf the filming was done during King Kenny's ill fated reign towards the end of last season, and the cameras went away after Rogers' first match. Is that not correct?

The Ch5 website has it as "Filming of the documentary began days after the FA Cup final defeat to Chelsea at the end of the 2011/12 season."

Tonight's episode is billed as: "Brendan Rodgers begins to rebuild Liverpool Football Club."

and episode three as: "Liverpool FC are home at last."

So maybe it's only six programmes dealing with pre-season up to the first game.

I caught half of it last week and it was really cringeworthy. Anyway, you'll see for yourself.

(We never get fuck all at Old Trafford apart from disallowed goals and poor refereering decisions going against us so suspect they'll be no change there).

You and 99.999999999999999999999999999% of visiting teams Jah!! ;)

i tagged along with a load of manc. mates to watch Citeh at Fulham. its refreshing to know that no matter who you support, your club will always have some pillocks harboured within the following. However their chant of Kolo

toure/ Yaya Toure to the tune of There's No Limits is a work of sublime genius.

I wish we had Silva and Yaya Toure though, both brilliant.

    • The Commons Public Accounts Committee questioned both the CEO and MD of Capita yesterday, at their last meeting before the recess:  https://committees.parliament.uk/event/25889/formal-meeting-oral-evidence-session/.  In October they'd already expressed concern that Capita might not  be able to efficiently retake over responsibility for the administration within the timescale. Given the joint statement recently issued by Capita and the Cabinet Office I'm not sure that contacting an MP is going to add much, other than venting what I think most of us can probably appreciate of what those affected are likely  to be thinking and feeling; unless perhaps, and I hope it's not needed, to report on deficiencies in the immediate rescue actions.

    • It's time to ditch your team, otherwise you could be seen to supporting your owners dog whistle comments (aka racist). Fortunately you can support a local team, I understand that Palace have pretty right on fans, and you have Dulwich Hamlet and Peckham Town too. If you genuinely are from the North West then Everton fans are well rated for their politics (ignore the paving over paradise/loss of UNESCO world heritage status), and of course FC United of Manchester. Salford Town not a bad bet either. For those who are glory hunters dare I say over the river in the North London library aka Emirates (shame they don't rhyme) you have both the likelihood of a title this season and a very multicultural fan base. If you want to be really cool the Welsh speaking team Club Cymric, Forest Green Rovers, or AS Livorno in Italy, an anti-fascist team
