Or they might never be asked to get involved with the embryonic Federation of Black Players...

Unfortunately Peter Herbert effectively is the Society of Black Lawyers, or at least he's the Chairman, and I think he was a founder. My purely personal opinion is that he is a very ho-hum lawyer who has made race relations/racial politics his main activity (nothing wrong with that) but is also a rampant self-publicist, and the whole Chelsea/Clattenburg story reeks of the latter.

I'm Chelsea'd out, the sooner the FA reports it's findings the better.

Any thoughts on the England game tonight?

Can't see the logic of having a mid-week friendly at this time of year, but looks like the Royster is treating it as an opportunity to blood some youngsters*, which can only be good. A shame Wilshire and Cleverley aren't both playing, would've liked to see how they got on together in midfield.

*I'm Zaha'd out too...

SFL to revitalise Scottish footy by re-merging the Premier League with the rest and renaming their leagues Premiership, Championship and Div 1 with play-offs etc etc...

Stroke of genius or flogging a dead horse?

Re tonight - about as interested as I'd be if it were a genuine youth game.

Arsenal 2 - Tottenham 2 (wanted to say spurs 3)

Liverpool 3 - Wigan 0 (my first trip to Anfield in over 10 years, so hoping for a good show... May well be disappointed)

Man City 2 - Aston Villa 2

Newcastle 3 - Swansea 2

QPR 2 - Southampton 1

Reading 1 - Everton 2

West Brom1 - Chelsea 1

Norwich 1 - Man Utd 3

Fulham 2 - Sunderland 0

West Ham 3 - Stoke 1

Arsenal 1 Tottenham 1

Liverpool 2 Wigan 0

Man City 1 Aston Villa 0

Newcastle 0 Swansea 1 (Newcastle look poor to me)

QPR 1 Saints 0

Reading 0 Everton 2

West Brom 0 Chelsea 2

Norwich 1 Man U 2

Fulham 2 Sunderland 0

West Ham 2 Stoke 2 Plus a neck ache for me as I am going to this Hoofball spectacular!

Does anyone know how to adjust the picture settings on a widescreen TV, I'm worried I might miss half of the game...

Automatic 5 point penalty for exotic holiday name dropping.

Automatic 10 point penalty for anyone who accuses me of making up the rules as I go along...stay lucky

Ha bloody ha,

Newcastle, Stoke, Norwich and Reading have a higher long ball %age right now -

Spurs, Everton, Villa and West Brom are not so far off either and the Irons reliance on the hoof has decreased over the last few games.

That said, a neck brace might be a wise precaution quids.

    • If you like very good quality South Asian food then Babur in Brockley is offering a well priced, for what it is, Christmas day menu with sensitively priced reductions for a more limited children's menu. They also have a compelling wine list and their specialist cocktails are phenomenal. Not traditional Christmas fare, but then that might be an additional recommendation.

    • Dear families,   My name is Eleanor. I’ve worked in NHS Child and Adolescent Mental Health Services for the past eight years, and I’m about to begin an Infant Observation course in preparation for psychotherapy training. I’m looking for a baby to observe as part of this training.   The observation involves me visiting a baby and their parent for one hour a week over two years, with the aim of deepening my understanding of early emotional and developmental processes. Taking part is a generous contribution to the training of future child psychotherapists — ultimately supporting the mental health of children and families.   Both of my own children were observed as babies, which I found to be a really positive experience. Having an observer gently witness my babies’ development helped me notice their weekly changes in a new way, and I came to appreciate the calm, consistent presence of a trained observer. I was sad when the observations ended!   If you — or someone you know — is expecting a baby due before the end of February*, I would love to hear from you. You can contact me at +44 7977 910018 or [email protected].   Best wishes, Eleanor
