Possibly true but why is it that those words bring to mind gooners more than anyone else?

Peter Lawwell wants football fans to be treated like 21st century citizens with the right to drink alcohol.

Rugby fans are allowed a pint in Scotland while Hampden does a roaring trade selling booze at open air concerts.

English clubs are allowed to sell drink to their fans while Scottish supporters are treated as untrustworthy.

"North Bank bar, North Bank bar, North Bank, bar...Hic"

Buying a beer actually on the terraces whilst watching a game...them were the days

Bit surprised there will be no appeal against the Suarez ban. Apparently the club left it up to him, and he's decided to accept it. Suppose he just feels there's no point trying, and it could even lead to a bigger ban.

I still think 10 matches is ridiculous, but there you go.

That's Liverpool buggered for the start of next season.

I didn't say we were or are you just being obtuse. Whatever way you cut it, we went 49 games unbeaten, and got a gold premiershop trophy for going a season unbeaten, that my friend WAS a first. Anything else you want to throw at me?

You are aware that the waynester had all but signed on the dotted line for the blue vermin, but it took a certain Celtic and ManU supporting ageging blonde rocker and the rather agitated attention of a matriachal element to stop waynester from putting his X on the ?250K a week after tax deal ?

Eh, no. And you are how?

I don't want to throw anything at you. I just get fed up with the everyone who leaves Arsenal is a tosser type of thing that you write. Why Arsenal are so better than say Spurs. Basically getting angry at what any footballer does that you don't like. Who gives a sh*t. It happens. You can't change clubs like a player can. You're stuck with it apart from the few 'fans' who actually change clubs. My father GRHS supported Man City when I was a kid........just to annoy me!

From what I've read his past problems were not taken into account when deciding on the ban. What would he have got if they were?

Just from the record, I've never thought that Henry, Pires, Viera, Overmars, Fabregas were tossers. Anelka, Van Pussy, Cole, Nasri absolutely. It's the way they went about. Happy now?

Just a shame most boozed up football fans can't act like 21st century citizens.

You've obviously missed you calling as a comic. Hilarious

Surely West Ham's star is currently in the ascendent. Newly promoted and comfortably safe with 4 games to go. A shiny brand new(ish)stadium got for a song, which along with next season's new TV deal, means increased revenue to invest in the squad. Ok, looks like your stuck with BFS, but you can't have everything...

    • A bit of a long shot but I'm on the lookout for a portable pop-up counter or podium.   The kind you often see on a high street, used by charities or utility companies to advertise their wares.   I've included a photo to give you the idea. I'm a peckham-based artist and am looking for one for a free (and non-profit) community art project.  It can be in any workable condition and can already have signage on it as we will remove and redecorate ourselves.    Thanks in advance, Linzie
    • No I absolutely did not - that much is clear. Have you read the latest stories about Unite, Len and the hotel in Birmingham? The UK electorate were smart enough to reject a far-left party in 2019, let's hope they are smart enough to reject a far-right party at the next election too. If not we are all doomed.
    • I would also like to add my recommendation for James.  I had taken four names of electricians from the forum - in the order I had read the reviews.  First three no response - even days later. I phoned James this morning. He answered, gave me a time, stuck to it, messaged again 15 mins before arrival.  He fixed my problem on the spot.  Sensible charge out fee. Perfect service.
    • Most recent polls for the next election suggest it will be a hung parliament, with Reform the largest party by a fair margin. But that is predicated on Reform finding around 300 candidates who are actually electable. Given the number of Reform council candidates who have had to drop out prior to or after the local elections, does that seem likely? Social media is pretty unforgiving when it comes to finding skeletons in cupboards; a retweet or a like seems enough to scupper political ambitions. A few may defect from other parties, but do you think the electorate would really vote for so many brand new MPs from a newish party?  I'm not so sure.
