I reckon there's a good chance either Baines or Fellaini (or even both) could follow Moyes to Utd, both making a decent profit for EFC, so any new manager would have funds to invest in new players...

That's how Everton has managed though. Selling off good players, especially those it has brought on, like Rooney and Lescott. Everton will never progress while it operates like a feeder team, something that most of lower footy clubs are forced to do because of how the game has evolved post sky input. If you are not one of the top four with huge investment behind you, you will never be able to compete with the top four. That's why top end footy is boring to me now. There's no competition. Just the top four, and then the rest.

Next Everton manager - Martinez current bookies favourite, followed by Phil Neville, Lennon, Laudrup and Vitor Pereira (who he?) Odds also being offered on Hughes, Poyet, Benitez, Malky Mackay, Lambert, Duncan Ferguson (!!) and Carragher (500-1).

Not sure I'd say Arsenal have huge investment behind us

We have some billionare shareholders to be sure, but investing in the club? Quite the opposite

League table of those 4 clubs and their owners in terms of "here have some cash when you want" would look like

As I'm involved, do we have a volunteer to receive the predictions by PM and then post them up on here?

As the aggregate score rule was such a roaring success in the Champions League, we'll have a deciding rule in similar vein...in the event of a tie on points e.g. both players predict a correct win but neither a correct score, then the player who predicted a scoreline closest to the actual scoreline, will be the winner. If it is still tied, then the player who predicted the nearest to the time of the first goal scored, will be the winner. If no goal scored then it's the flip of a coin...

SC, as well as the score you will need to predict the time of the first goal scored.

Extra time does not count...

You mean (in a scouse accent) "I just hope for a goal and indigo?"

    • Dear families,   My name is Eleanor. I’ve worked in NHS Child and Adolescent Mental Health Services for the past eight years, and I’m about to begin an Infant Observation course in preparation for psychotherapy training. I’m looking for a baby to observe as part of this training.   The observation involves me visiting a baby and their parent for one hour a week over two years, with the aim of deepening my understanding of early emotional and developmental processes. Taking part is a generous contribution to the training of future child psychotherapists — ultimately supporting the mental health of children and families.   Both of my own children were observed as babies, which I found to be a really positive experience. Having an observer gently witness my babies’ development helped me notice their weekly changes in a new way, and I came to appreciate the calm, consistent presence of a trained observer. I was sad when the observations ended!   If you — or someone you know — is expecting a baby due before the end of February*, I would love to hear from you. You can contact me at +44 7977 910018 or [email protected].   Best wishes, Eleanor
    • I rarely iron, so my massive ironing board is just taking up unnecessary space. Does anyone have one of those little ones that you can use on an ordinary table?
    • It's happened twice today, I've never had this happen before! Here's the second one. All I did was try to agree with a post in the lounge!
    • Now I'm having my hand slapped by some forum bot 😮 All I did was try to add a laughing emoji to ianr's post. This is obviously a message from the universe to tell me to get off my phone and get back to working my way through my very lengthy to do list 🤣 ETA: And it's just happened again when I tried to agree with a post in the lounge. OK universe, I give in. Back to the hideous task list.
