Thanks for the clip Mac. Naturally I watched part two as well. Luckily in our history we had Ossie Ardiles and Ricky Villa, two great Argentine players who weren't dirty cheating bastards.

As for the song, well it's before my time. I've always heard Glory Glory Tottenham Hotspur at White Hart Lane since I first started going there aged ten.

Good result for us tonight as well. Some of our kids are coming on nicely. Rose, Livermore and particularly Carroll all put in good performances. COYS!

If you open the link to the blog - it says its still played now as the teams emerge after half time? Surely you hear it every week?

Does anyone else know? I'm interested in this song as my daughter recently learned it at chior and I hear it all the time, but the connection with Spurs was new to me.

In the mean time both City and United fans are being urged to dispose of his shirt. Do they still burn witches in that neck of the woods? Fact is often stranger than fiction. How times have changed especially as both clubs were so keen to sign him. I guess this gives credence to the saying "be careful what you wish for".
City are now the force to be reckoned with in the Premier League. It will be interesting to see what, if any, excuses Sky will try to come with to explain away such a hammering. Being at home, you would expect Manchester United to show some of that much vaunted resilience and character when up against it.

Friggin hell, that was painful to watch. United 1 City 6. Not in a million years would I have predicted that - at HOME too! Not a good day for United at all. It's weird, because during the first 20mins., given how both sides were playing, I thought this was going to be a walkover (for United)! But then it all changed with Balotelli's first goal. I am not a fan of Balotelli, but he played well. As for Evans' red card, the referee had no choice to dish that out: just doing his job. What a stupid move by Evans; though it's easily done - I've done it myself (and worse), and that's just when pissing about in the park with my buddies! Once they were down to 10 men, I just felt United's morale fall; in fact it was a little reminiscent of the FA Cup semi-final last season when Scholes got sent off for that vile tackle. My heart sunk. Fletcher's goal was a beauty, but it wasn't enough.

The the match is now part of history. But well done to City - they deserved to win: well and truly.

SHOCKED and sad for my team.

What a surprising result.

I think the Man City win trumps the Man U win over Arsenal.

I still think the two Manchester teams will be fighting out for the title towards the end of the season. And Man U haven't played well since the Cleverley injury.

I'm a fan of Balotelli's football talent and is good to see him having a good game. He is going to be a great player once he sorts out his mental discipline and stays away from fireworks.

I agree UDT about Cleverley. Even when they were dominating the game today United never really looked like scoring nor did I think they were playing that well. I thought both Fletcher and particularly Anderson were very poor with their distribution. I'm not sure Welbeck will make it at OT. Cleverley showed he had something when he played that United don't have at the moment.

I no longer would 8-2 be an Arsenal fan, at least they have 1-6 of their last 7.

- can't take the credit for the brilliance/crapness (take your pick) of that line.

Feel a little better about our 5-0 defeat to Man City at the Lane.

    • ...and so, 4 years on from the "dramatic planning meeting" that approved the "meganursery", how has it all worked out in reality? The building looks nice from the outside - but I don't know anything more. Did either of the nursery businesses on EDG fail because there was no demand for nursery places in East Dulwich? Did Carmageddon on East Dulwich Grove get worse? Were pre-COVID work patterns abandoned forever (lol)? Were some of the concerns expressed in opposition to the planning application a teensy bit overblown...? https://southwarknews.co.uk/area/southwark/mega-nursery-approved-amid-dramatic-planning-meeting/
