No, I obviously did not see it, otherwise, why would I bother to write about it?

I just thought that Dulwich community is more respectful of others and would clean their shit instead of cussing out people who accidentally stepped into it. If someone steps into it and slips it could cause an injury. I was warning people and starting a discussion so someone can claim their paint and clean it up.

The responses to this are jaw dropping. Since when do residents and contractors have the right to break and soil the public right of way. Paint not on a designated surface is a hazard.

No one has the right to force me to watch out for your dogs shit or paint on my shoes or buggy wheels or car tyres for that matter. I don't want an ugly shared space. Litter glass refuse of any sort that makes us poor. Yes, poor isn't money it's a state of mind. Everyone responding to this point. My neighbours it seems.

I haven't seen anyone 'cussing out' the OP. Yes, it's not pleasant when things get spilled or dog crap in public areas, but I'm at a bit of a loss to understand why anyone would seem to think that someone else would have liability for damage to their shoes if they didn't notice a huge white paint spill and trod in it!

    • Dog kennel isn't a great name for a school. I agree that it's ridiculous for the name to put anyone off going there, but don't see any issue with them rebranding if the parents and children prefer a new name. The school is surrounded by historical 'groves' (reflected in the names of Camberwell Grove, Grove park and Grove Vale for example), so it's not a totally random name.
    • It might help if there are body cams to record evidence and a presence maybe a deterrent but I very much doubt a park warden would intervene with obnoxious and violent thugs - children or not. We need police for that.
    • I had a leaky toilet cistern and Niko came out the same day and not only fixed the leak but thoroughly cleaned off the years of calcium build-up. His attention to detail was matched by his kind humanity. The result was a completely renovated toilet which has never worked more efficiently as well as 'service with a smile'. MANY THANKS NIKO!!!
    • I am trying to find out about people's experiences of the 4+ and 7+ assessments. I am a teacher and have a wealth of experience tutoring for theses assessments (including my own son), but it's always good to keep on top of things as they always make tweaks to them. TIA!
