Hubby has just been and asked the Thames Water guys (who are now on site) what's happening. They're switching the water supply off and hoping to have it fixed by 9.30pm for the water to be back on shortly after if everything goes to plan - alternatively, worst case midnight.

Fingers crossed they don't come across the sort of problems I do when embarking on DIY or it could be days! ;)

Just had a look, there are 4 or 5 guys working on it now....well definitely 2 are working on it, the others are looking on. Saw the stream on goodrich road coming home around 5pm....immediately filled kettle, washed baby bottles and put some water in some pans...was expecting this. I really hope they fix this as quickly as they did the other week.

Your lucky you still had water...... We are in Goodrich and it's been off since @1.

Annoyingly the Thames website shows a leak on Friern Road by Goodrich, and LL by Goodrich so I assumed they were the cause of the problem! It was only when walking to the Dr's I saw the water gushing on Goodrich! Fingers crossed it's back soon.

    • There  is a dance fit class at Harris girls on a Monday evening 630 pm which I have been going to for years . It is an inclusive class  with a wide range of ages.    The  teacher is Fi and she is amazing and  the classes are lots of fun.   look on the web justdanceuk .com. There are other dance classes  (flowetic )that Fi and the lovely Lizzie runs  at Harris girls too . They also have an event next week which is a bit further- near Penge  which is a day of dance to include  just dance fit, dancehall, line dancing, garage fit and flowetic . Which is also available to book on that website  ( look at the events section) .
    • that’s just been misused first by Faraz and then Starmer. It’s evocative and negative.  But it’s flooding the news today.
    • I didn't realise that either! I thought it just meant division within communities - religious, racial or otherwise.  Yes, it is frightening. The days of the broad church political party are over.
    • So I've done a little more research into the current use of the word, I hadn't realised it had latterly been used to describe anti Muslim feelings. Still don't like the use of the word. These are horrible times and am fearful for the future.
