Best group 2-3 car seat?

Hi sorry this is really boring I know and I promise I ran a search first, plus I've had a general google, but wanted the invaluable hands-on advice from my fellow forumites.

I want to buy a group 2-3 seat for my 3 year old but don't know what to get. Obviously safety is top priority, but second priority is one that is easy to fit and fits different cars as I don't have a car and use various family, friends and hire cars.

I know you can do the whole WHICH thing, but don't want to sign up and all that malarky. Can anyone recommend a seat that they are using?

many thanks!

Hi there, I've posted before recommending the carseat we got - Kiddy Infinity Pro - which I think goes from 9 months - 4 years, so is the age group down from what you're looking for. But I know Kiddy do similar models (or even the same model) for the next age group up, and they are SO easy to sling from car to car - super-light and they don't actually attach to the car at all. If you google them, their website has videos showing people moving them from car to car.

Oh, and (more importantly) it won the Which safety tests by a mile over the more traditional 5 point harness seats.

Hope this helps!

we also have a kiddy, i think it's the guardian pro - it goes up to 12 years. My son (3 years) is very happy in it and it's really easy to put into cabs, etc. since the seat belt just goes across the seat. we have a Which subscription and their reviews helped us decide.

    • The last I heard was that an artificial wood is being used for the superstructure. I believe the bridge was rebuilt sometime in the 1980s so it’s evident that natural wood does not last very long in such a damp location. This alternative material is coming from Australia and has been delayed due to the Red Sea being closed and international shipping being diverted around the Cape.
