I go to the Institute of Optometry (between Elephant and Borough) for my prescriptions (glasses and contact lenses).

This is a shortish bus ride away. I've been going there for years and am very happy with them.

I get my contact lenses online and last time went to Asda on the Isle of Dogs to get my glasses prescription made up (varifocals). Cheaper than Specsavers and very efficient.

I'd also endorse Paine & Hunter - they have had the same skilled optometrists and technicians for years, which offers real continuity of care. Changes in the eye can be a valuable diagnostic tool for issues other than just those eye/ vision related - care continuity can be of real value here.

    • I hadn't looked at the actual posts on Instagram. That's sad, then. The shop opening hours are still shown at the top of the page. I  guess changing them wasn't uppermost in her mind under the circumstances.
    • I want to recommend the kitchen fitters Top Marx kitchens. They were excellent from the communication, the planning and the fitting. John did a fantastic job of of fitting and worked around and solved many of the issues we had with Ikea who we purchased from. John gave lots of helpful advice and support. We would definitely use them again for any kitchen work. I have added before and after photos.
