Hello,

I have recently made some cushion with modern, summer designs to brighten up my home. I have had many compliments and suggestions that I should sell them. So I am putting a few on here to gauge your interest.


The attached designs are currently for sale

?30 each


18" x 18"(45cm x 45cm) 100% cotton fabric. Lovely soft material. Cushion filling: 100% polyester

Zip fastening

Pet and smoke free home. Collect from Upland road.


I am planning on making some more designs, including: Pineapples, Cacti, Flamingo and Sugar Skull - so please follow this post for updates

Thank you for your feedback. I appreciate it.

The fabric is not cheap to buy and then there?s the cushion,zip, thread and my time making them to include too.


So all things considered I do feel that the price is not unreasonable for a handmade product.


But I do welcome your opinions as I am still deciding whether it?s worth my while making any more.

They are lovely, and yes, beautiful fabric. something like this, lovely as they are, you just need one to offset the cheap plain ones, makes them all look good. That way you can appreciate the time and money spent in making them. everything diesnt have to be disposable. crafts people are an important part of our economy, and a great form of expression.

Hello Dullwitch, would just like to say your cushions look beautiful and considering they are hand made and not mass produced in a factory by someone on a minimum wage they are very well priced .100% cotton fabric is not cheap and people who don?t sew have no idea the preparation and time it takes to cut/match fabric accurately(especially printed fabric)add a zip correctly and finish off to a high standard including filling .I am a tailor and I also make soft furnishings . I make a lot of cushions for people locally and I charge a lot more than ?30 for them! Good luck and I hope you do well 🙂

well looks like i was wrong and you will sell some to guna nua and bodsier i would love to know how many they buy.you should put up the amount you have sold to them it will help you with more sales as you know the more you sell the more others will buy.hope you put up the amount they buy. good luck

Beautiful work. I can?t believe the reaction of some people on here. This is not expensive for hand made non mass produced work. People are so disconnected from the making process and the work of Artisans these days that they have lost all sense of perspective on the cost of someone?s craft and labour. hand made from home = no rent to find no tax bills to pay no business rates to pay no wages for staff to pay so when you say botanical theme are ?80 each customers have to take all this in account. dullwitch how many have you sold it's easy to say what a great price but did they buy any ?? take them to a craft fair and see. it's not easy to sell hand made goods on this forum i have tried.good luck

      I would phone ahead to check whether they are accepting donations. I’ve been in the shop a couple of times over the past few years and seen people turned away with book donations. There are a few parking spaces outside the row of shops there and it’s sometimes pot luck but I’ve usually parked ok. Let us know how it goes Sue.   l

      Hussein and his team have just finished painting our main reception room, kitchen and hallway throughout the house. We also threw a few extra curve balls in while we were away like painting the front door, garden walls and helping fit some new lights. Hussein is a pleasure to deal with: professional, diligent, trust worthy, flexible and a really nice bloke. This is the second time we have worked with him and will definitely do so again.

      - had all the wrong connections at the wrong time - fraternised with some well dodgy blokes or rather one at least   - smart and  smooth talker - he has all the smoothness and ability to flatter - he is highly polished - skilled at making personal connections - never liked or trusted the chap, reminiscent of a slime ball
