ANOTHER self-censored message Flocky?!? What?s going on? The first one was that you?d reported us to the police for no good reason. This one can?t have been any worse than that?!

i may have a beef with the project but my post was in response to a now (totally removed) post that adds nothing to your thread and a poster i have a family sized side sirlion with. i can be petty and unyeilding but not wholly motivated by a desire to create a environment resembling Grozny c. 1995 within this thread

I posted a message in support of eastDAG and in support of the East Dulwich Mural. I don?t understand why my message was deleted, but am pleased the response to my message by the above anonymous troll was deleted.

Anyway, to reiterate (but in fewer words this time) - great work eastDAG, and ignore the naysayers.

Hi Chris

I saw your message earlier and logged on to say thanks, but I?m not sure why it?s been deleted either?

But thanks for the props. Your FH mural campaign was our benchmark for our campaign.

Please be careful with the dilution ratio....

Thank you so much for taking part in the vote to choose an artist to paint a mural on the bridge outside East Dulwich Train Station.

Along with an esteemed judging panel we had a fantastic response from the East Dulwich community with just shy of 1,000 votes cast. The votes are now in and we are delighted to announce that the winner of the East Dulwich Station Mural competition is Blue Shop Cottage / Alphabetics Anonymous.

We will be meeting Blue Shop Cottage to discuss their ideas and will present these as soon as we possibly can. Once the final design is approved, we will be crowdfunding to cover the preparation and protection of the mural.

Thanks again for your your input! It has been much appreciated. We will be sure to keep you updated as the project moves forward.

That walrus is brilliant! Thanks for posting.

"Once the final design is approved, we will be crowdfunding to cover the preparation and protection of the mural."

You mean you went through all this and asked people to spend their time voting when you don;'t even have any money to finance this project?!

Abe. With the Forest Hill Mural, SE23.life organised the design vote first, and then raised the money. People need to know what they?re paying for.

The strategy worked. Our crowdfunder raised ?2,500+ in 75 hours. Get the right design (via a popular vote) and people will pay for it to happen.

Hopefully this message won?t be mysteriously deleted like my previous few were.

Hi Abe

The mural fee paid to the artist is covered within our budget.

If you read the post, the crowdfunding element is for preparation and protection. It?s an opportunity to pitch in, and be named, on a great project to help it last for many years to come.

Murals are defaced and damaged, so this element will run well beyond our funding period.

The mural project will go ahead regardless.

Hope that clarifies your query

Seriously, I hope not. I?m keeping my fingers crossed he?s been incarcerated or something similar.

    • Hello East Dulwich families 👋 I wanted to introduce myself to the community. I’m a professional family & wedding photographer with 14+ years of experience, and I split my time between the US and London throughout the year. I’ll be based in London for the coming weeks and would love to photograph more local families here in East Dulwich. My approach is very relaxed and natural — no stiff posing, no pressure — just real connection, movement, and the beautiful everyday moments that tell your family’s story. I work especially well with kids and parents who feel “awkward” in front of the camera (which honestly is most of us!). Sessions can take place at home, in the park, on your favourite street, or anywhere that feels meaningful to you. The goal is to create images that feel like your life — not a photoshoot. If anyone has been thinking about documenting this season with their children, I’d love to connect, answer questions, or simply share examples of my work. No pressure at all — just happy to be here and meet some neighbours. You can see my work here: https://bluesparkphotography.com/family/ (use the contact page on the site to send me a message if you're interested!).
    • I don't! But I've also taken to calling myself David, as it seems to shorten the odds of achieving something in life. It's not King Dave, Dave Lloyd George, Dave Hockney, Dave Bowie or Dave Hasselhoff is it? And I'm not sure Michelangelo would have had such success if he'd called his sculpture 'Dave'.
    • I think there is still a shoes/clothes recycling bank outside of North Dulwich station.
    • I'm not so sure the collection team are that bothered anymore.  Two houses either side of me are rented and the tenants just chuck their rubbish - mostly bagged - in the blue or green bins depending on which has space in, not based on what it is.  The blue bins are always emptied.
