Vince provided a quote and we agreed he would come and do some tiling work today. I took the day off of work and he never showed up. He sent a text saying he had car trouble and I have not heard from him again follow a text back from me and a call. Clearly found bigger job. Very let down.

I have searched 'tiler' and Vince's name has come up on here several times but I am put off by this last post by LondonMix. Can anyone tell me if this is a one off incident and that Vince is great value for money with a finish worth beholding? Or is Vince just a mince pie.

I'm afraid I have to say that I had a similar experience to Londonmix. Vince and I agreed a date for him to carry out some work in my bathroom, but he neither showed up nor contacted me to let me know what was happening. He then sent a text the following evening apologising and saying that he was having personal difficulties. I was understanding about this and we arranged a different date for the work to be done...only for exactly the same thing to happen again, with no explanation whatsoever this time, just a brief apology (again, the day after the work was supposed to have been done).

Bit cheesed off, in all honesty.
