DJKillaQueen
Well....I think the panel seem to be a lot better.....and liking Gary Barlow very much (he is way too good looking). They seem to be only putting through people who can on the whole sing though (which makes a change). Will be interesting to see what they are like at the mentoring stage. I think Kelly Rowland is going to be really good. She'll make them work hard. maxxi
Nice post Nette; you nailed it, you made it your own, that's what this forum is all about, you owned the thread, when I first saw the thread title I thought oh-oh... but then you really delivered, and people wonder if this forum has any validity in the modern world - well I'd just tell them to read that post, you had this whole forum on its feet, I've read threads like this a million times but that was really something special, I'm looking forward to seeing more posts in the coming weeks - you're going through to Lond -oops! karter
Gary Barlow is great. They sure know how to get you hooked, the weird looking colourful people who cannot sing make great entertainmant i think. Alan Medic
That about sums up how I feel maxxi though I don't watch the show. Nette is a class act. Did I ever tell you someone once said they thought I was like Louis. I was somewhat confused until it was explained to me it wasn't Jungle Book Louis. LOLHuh.....just checked up on what I'd written. Better avoid that in future. lol It's original definition was "Laughing out loud" (also written occasionally as "Lots of Laughs"), used as a brief acronym to denote great amusement in chat conversations. Now, it is overused to the point where nobody laughs out loud when they say it. In fact, they probably don't even give a shit about what you just wrote. More accurately, the acronym "lol" should be redefined as "Lack of laughter." Depending on the chatter, its definition may vary. The list of its meanings includes, but is not limited to: 1) "I have nothing worthwhile to contribute to this conversation." 2) "I'm too lazy to read what you just wrote so I'm typing something useless in hopes that you'll think I'm still paying attention." 3) "Your statement lacks even the vaguest trace of humor but I'll pretend I'm amused." 4) "This is a pointless acronym I'm sticking in my sentence just because it's become so engraved into my mind that when chatting, I MUST use the meaningless sentence-filler 'lol.'" Frankito
Apart from Louis(sorry Meds), I prefer the judges line-up, much rawer and real than before. Having said that,I would happily swap Barlow for Cowell.. Link to comment https://www.eastdulwichforum.co.uk/topic/19594-x-factor-2011/#findComment-475348 Share on other sites
Frankito
The little Northern Irish lass who was in one of the first auditions, I think ahe is about 16. Moos
I have a major girl crush on Kelly. Yeeeooow! Gorgeous. And I think I rather love Gary too.Haven't watched all of 'em, but the girl with the grandma who sang Adele was good. She's going to need a bit of a makeover, but that's easily done. Loz
I really wanted to dislike Tulisa, since I think that N-Dubz is the biggest joke bands Britain has produced since the HeeBeeGeeBees. But, damnit, she actually rather likeable. Link to comment https://www.eastdulwichforum.co.uk/topic/19594-x-factor-2011/#findComment-475387 Share on other sites
Frankito
Tulisa is fab, I remember seeing the doc she did wirh her Mum and how she handled her illness, it was very moving. northlondoner
Saw my first X Factor last night. I had rather snobishly assumed it would be a garish, manipulative paen to vulgarity...with an incidental bit of actual talent thrown in.But having experienced it first hand I realised I was right. Moos
Dear northlondoner, if you're going to post snobbish comments about vulgar telly you really ought to spell paean correctly. Of course it's garish, hypocritical, sentimental, manipulative, totally fixed crap! That's its charm. If you eat a kebab, you can't complain it's not a fillet steak.LoveMoos (oik) Link to comment https://www.eastdulwichforum.co.uk/topic/19594-x-factor-2011/#findComment-475436 Share on other sites

Moos
Joe Sobztory's a bit dull, isn't he? Not a strong voice, but I guess one to make the last 20 or so, with his young cuteness and pulchritudinous colouring.
