Robert Poste's Child
Surely it has to be Greek, Cypriot and Turkish food? Beautifully stuffed vegetables with a hint of mint, grilled meat on the bone, thin-skinned tomatoes, flat bread, olives and grapes. If I wasn't so lazy I'd bike down to the Cypriot deli near Goose Green right now. Making do with some onion breadsticks and black grapes from Lidl.I had porridge for breakfast yesterday. Serious error of judgement. Link to comment https://www.eastdulwichforum.co.uk/topic/197079-best-food-for-this-weather/ Share on other sites

IlonaM
Bulgur wheat salads - lots of tomatoes, cucumber, peppers etc. with feta/steamed salmon/avocado depending on how I feel. Delicious. And tempted to make lemon granita - perfect for cutting through the heat. For me it's the double caramel and sometimes the new praline one, though the normal almond milk chocolate is good too. Hoping the offer ends soon as that'll help me say no. lavender27
Cola float, I was trying to find a cafe that had them on the menu, in the end I bought a mcflurry from McDonalds and a bottle of coke, it wasn't the same as mcflurrys are too soft. Needs to be Cornish Vanilla Ice Cream and coke in a tall Knickerbockerglory glass. Yes very 70's. se22cat
Zaru (cold) soba gets my vote, especially if you have some ice both in the dip and in the bowl of noodles to keep everything refreshingly cool!
