Advice on bike servicing

Have a bike I?m keen to start riding again but it?s barely been out of the shed for 7 years. Think it would be wise to get it serviced before I use it so would be grateful for recommendations as to where to take it? Are the guys on north Ross road market good or am I better off going to one of the bike shops?

The guys on North Cross Road sorted mine and I found them very efficient and helpful (and reasonably priced).

thanks - they were my other option - don't feel trendy enough for seabass in Peckham!

I rate Seabass very highly - in two services they've diagnosed faults with my bikes that would have been catastrophic if I'd been riding when the faults revealed themselves. The coffee is good too. I think they are pretty well booked up though.

Balfes are a really good independent bike shop for sure. Southwark Cyclists seem to offer free advice and servicing - info on their website.
