SimonM
If you mean the kind designed for disabled people then avoid them like the plague. Link to comment https://www.eastdulwichforum.co.uk/topic/20296-walk-in-baths/#findComment-496742 Share on other sites
Dee Woffaz
Always wondered how the water stayed in there when you opened the door to get in......... Link to comment https://www.eastdulwichforum.co.uk/topic/20296-walk-in-baths/#findComment-496784 Share on other sites
SimonM
Always wondered how the water stayed in there when you opened the door to get in.........Not sure if that's a serious enquiry, but that's the problem with these baths of course. You have to get in before turning on the water, and stay in them wet and shivering afterwards until the water has drained...:)) Link to comment https://www.eastdulwichforum.co.uk/topic/20296-walk-in-baths/#findComment-496794 Share on other sites
Dee Woffaz
Simon, it was a little tongue in cheek, but i know id not want to sit there shivering. I'd have drunk my glass of wine before the bath was full then the problem arises of having to get out and fill it up again.:)) Link to comment https://www.eastdulwichforum.co.uk/topic/20296-walk-in-baths/#findComment-496805 Share on other sites
Captain Scarlet
Yep ive seen these..the seal goes on the door.Better to invest in a hoist to lower yourself into a normal Bath. Drxyster
The bath would mainly be used for showering and only on a few occassions for bathing. My wife would only use the bath for showering, as climbing into the bath is not possible for her. I would use the bath for bathing as it helps my bad back, however, I can climb in and out of the bath without using the door, so would not have to sit in it while it emptied.Thank you all for your comments especially about the door leaking. SimonM
Far better than a hoist is a Mangar - see http://www.mangar.co.uk/product/MPCA030200/bathing-cushionnot least because it folds down into a small bag so you can take it anywhere Link to comment https://www.eastdulwichforum.co.uk/topic/20296-walk-in-baths/#findComment-497045 Share on other sites
