Hi,

I am really stuck for what to buy my niece as a Christening gift! Does anyone have any suggestions? I have about ?40 to spend and don't want anything religious. I have had a look online but being so indecisive as I am, am finding it a nightmare to choose! Any ideas would be really apppreciated :)

HI,

I got my goddaughter a blanket with her name on it. It was cream colour bvut you could pick from couple of them.

she absolutely loved it and for the past 4 years she slept with it, walk with it and took it everywhere. She loves it.

you can find it online. Just google personalised blankets.

good luck and hope that's help.

Handpicked.co.uk also has nice ideas.

Classic book set like Winnie the pooh or Beatrix potter, personalised wooden train set (each carriage is a letter of their name, from amazon), nice silver cutlery set, silver piggy bank from the little White company, personalised chair or toy of though might be a bit pricey.

Total wild card but I decided to get a Fisher Price record player for my 'god'-daughter. Bit random I know but lots of music lovers in the family so seemed appt. Couldnt find one for love nor money however, but noticed well after the christening that they had them in the toy shop in Dulwich Village.

hello

When my son was christened he had lots of cutlery sets and cups etc... one great idea was a personalised passport cover. I bought one recently for my nephew and it was about 35 pounds from aspinall, you can order online in a range of colours. I felt quite emotional when I opened my sons thinking of all the places he might visit and discover throughout his life, and the gift was from my brother who's a pilot, so it was a really appropriate gift.

    • I’m currently conducting exploratory research into menstrual health education in UK secondary schools and would really value the insight of PSHE leads, Heads of Year, or pastoral staff.    The research aims to understand:   How the menstrual cycle is currently taught within the RSHE framework Where schools feel confident — and where there may be gaps Whether students are taught and  asking questions around the full menstrual cycle, symptoms, wellbeing and conditions such as PMS/PMDD or endometriosis How schools support students in feeling empowered to understand their bodies and seek help appropriately Whether education around nutrition, lifestyle, and menstrual wellbeing is currently addressed   The long-term goal is to explore whether there is a need for additional, age-appropriate, medically informed support on the menstrual cycle.  I’m not selling a programme and there is no obligation beyond a 30 minute informal chat online (Unpaid). All conversations will be confidential and used only to inform the research. If you work in a UK secondary school and would be willing to share your perspective, I would be extremely grateful to hear from you.
