My boy is 4 now and is so excited about Christmas already. Im wondering if anyone has any Christmas book recommendations for someone his age? Im searching on Amazon and there are loads to choose from but I dont want them to be too young for his age, so any experienced people of boys my age out there, please let me know what your kids love....

Thanks in advance!

I normally teach reception class (on maternity leave at the moment though)

These books have been popular with past classes:

Stick Man by Julia Donaldson (not strictly a Christmas book but Santa turns up towards the end)

Father Christmas needs a Wee

The Jolly Christmas Postman

Slinky Malinki's Christmas Crackers

Dear Santa (same as Dear Zoo really)

I haven't tried The Twelve Days of Christmas by Robert Sabuda yet, it looks lovely though.

Have you been to Tales on Moon Lane? They usually have a fantastic selection of well chosen books. Might be worth a visit.

Hope that helps :)

    • Anyone can deliver for Evri - my daughter having just passed her driving test tried Evri to make some money - they basically give you a route and as many parcels as they think you can cope with - you make money for each one you deliver, so you can imagine - speed is the priority. Why would they wait for you to answer the door when they can just throw it and take a photo? If you have a choice, choose a different courier service or shop elsewhere where they do.
    • Boil - it’s the customer’s fault, not the delivery person’s.
    • A bit of a long shot but I'm on the lookout for a portable pop-up counter or podium.   The kind you often see on a high street, used by charities or utility companies to advertise their wares.   I've included a photo to give you the idea. I'm a peckham-based artist and am looking for one for a free (and non-profit) community art project.  It can be in any workable condition and can already have signage on it as we will remove and redecorate ourselves.    Thanks in advance, Linzie
    • No I absolutely did not - that much is clear. Have you read the latest stories about Unite, Len and the hotel in Birmingham? The UK electorate were smart enough to reject a far-left party in 2019, let's hope they are smart enough to reject a far-right party at the next election too. If not we are all doomed.
