There isn't a new doctor. Who did you see?

He was called Dr Arif (I think) - really nice - he told me he was permanent and that he would be there on a regular basis from 12th December. Would be a shame if I had misunderstood.

MGMP:

Poor customer relations today from the receptionist I had to deal with - I mean, how hard is it to actually make eye contact and smile at someone.

Then because of no appointments except "phone up and play doctor roulette" ones I agreed to a phone consultation. This was hurried and I was told that I couldn't ask all the things I wanted (all related to the same problem)and made to feel that effecively I was taking up too much time.

And the request from the hospital for them to follow up with a specific test? Not one murmur of since Sept.

Utterly hateful experience everytime. I've complained and complained but nothing ever changes.

Once Christmas is over I'm off somewhere where they give a damn. even a little damn would be better than no damn at all.

You can find out when and if he is there by calling the surgery and asking to make an appointment. Also write to email addresses to ask what their plans are for permanent GPs.

Just don't ask for a practice leaflet listing their services because apparently "we haven't got one". When I said I wanted it to know who the GPs were I was told there were no GPs!!

Being able to get information about the practice is just a fundamental I would say. Going to another practice today to make arrangements. Actually going to MGMP now makes me anxious, as their responses have ben so rude and offhand recently that I feel angry before I even get there now. That's not health care!!!!!

It's therefore extremely odd that Cassius said he? was told by Dr. Arif that he was permanent. So now we have a ghost doctor there!

Well to be honest I wouldn't put too much credence on the words of an uninterested receptionist, but the sense I got was no permanent GPs.Maybe the Dr in question is permanent but so was Dr Bhatia as far as I understood.

I've voted with my feet today and registered elsewhere - where the receptionist actually smiled at me and answered my questions. Oh and gave me a practice leaflet listing 5, yes 5! GPs.

It's obvious the MGMP website is completely out of date. False advertising. And as you can see the Concordia website was advertising for full and part time GPs almost a month ago, however the advert is still up.

I have just had a look on the NHS Choices website and it seems that 'the Melbourne Grove team' has deigned to reply to the first four complaints in a totally inadequate manner. They obviously ran out of steam after four obfuscating responses. I urge you to go and have a look.

Registered with DMC Chadwick Road because it's close by.

Dr. Jiwany is there one day a week, if that. Is that what Melbourne Grove call permanent. Is it? I asked and was told he was there one day a week! Why would Dr. Khalek be considered a permanent member of staff if he is not there. How is that possible?

No reply was made to all the comments about the mostly terrible reception staff.

    • Went to some great free events in Clapham Common and in Finsbury Park.  Free fireworks at Vicky Park good too. Cost of events and cuts to budgets saw an end to most of this.  Blackheath fireworks too popular.  Parks and recreation eh?  😊
    • There was a reason that brockwell park stopped hosting events, and it seems to have been forgotten, and Peckham seems just so less suited to it.  It’s just not the most appropriate site and the park has suffered for it

    • It's grass.  It will regrow.  It's not native fauna, wild meadows etc.  Just like many of our gardens, it's ornamental and for recreation. You could argue that most of our park land is ornamental rather than a nature reserve.  Would time not be better spent getting involved with a wildlife trust or similar charity?
