There is a PapaJohns in Lewisham. Made a special trip there to try them out because the TV ads looked really good and they did buffalo wings.

The pizzas are pretty good, they are something like a Dominos but maybe a bit posher. Their garlic dip is a bit weird though, it's not the creamy stuff but melted garlic butter and a bit sickly after a while.

The buffalo sauce isn't the same as I had in the US but still good.

If they open up here I will be happy!

Er didn't they say 'really good coffee'? - the van is not.

SE22, 'East Dulwich' or otherwise, continues to frustrate with inconsistent, dissappointing coffee.

If anyone, preferably a try hard bean snob like myself, can recommend a coffee in the area to rival flatwhite, milkbar, monmouth or similar, it would be appreciated.

For country still in love with Nescafe I don't think East Dulwich does too bad when it comes to coffee. Sorry if the "die-hard bean snobs" amongst you can't find a "god-shot" locally but it's hardly a coffee wasteland. Whilst pushing your kids on a swing I'm sure the van does just fine.

looking forward to a few more shops opening on the strip - shame to see it so empty.

So have we confirmed its a Papa Johns? Shame we cant have a few more independent shops.

Is there anyway (perhaps a question for the Cllrs or James Barber) that locals can campaign to stop chains like Morleys and Papa Johns? I think the great thing about ED is its community feel, and this is slowly being eroded by chains.
