Incredible. We had such an amazing time. The setting was gorgeous with the views. The way they set the fireworks to music was beautifully done. The Heart sponsored music actually worked very well, though not generally my cup of tea. A family ticket was ?32 and there were two full displays. We got there early and it was very quiet. Food and drink, though delicious was expensive, as expected. Queues for everything between the displays were too long to even consider joining, though we did manage to get a couple more pints. It felt safe, well organised, top event and fantastic fun. We managed to get two buses home without too much trouble too. Will definitely consider next year, great night.
A really great event..could hear the music everywhere.. CPalace has struggled with this in recent years..kiddies loved the first one with sings from frozen and the greatest showman,, saw Dads singing along..great finale to the main display set against Avicii.
I think I prefer a more old fashioned ?5.00 per adult kids go free type of event. I mean they are just fireworks! Was mighty pissed off to be woken from my slumbers at 11.55pm to fireworks going off near the top end of Upland Road. It's not bloody New Years Eve. Set them off at a civilised time ffs.

Agree with you tomskip! It's all become really commercialised! I didn't think Brockwell were having a firework display this year due to complaints/environmental issues but guess they went ahead.

I found there were safety issues at Brockwell Park years ago and only took my family once and we live just a 10-12 minute walk away.

Couldn't believe the music coming from Brockwell was even louder and more house thumping than the fireworks! Just hope any babies/young children had adequate ear protection!

I think that's why they have started charging for tickets, and presumably limiting the numbers.

However the fireworks at Southwark Park are still free to Southwark residents (I'm going tonight) but you still have to get a ticket in advance, presumably so that they can limit the numbers as well.

AQs with others I went to the Brockwell Park event when it was free - very good, but probably too crowded. Blackheath is similar and takes yonks to get home from.

Yesterday we went to Tower Hamlets bash at Victoria Park, even with the Central Line down not too bad to get to and whilst heaving felt easier to get out of and the opportunity to visit Bethnal Green, and do a bit of a Krays walk too.

    • Do you mean they are chopping branches from trees in your garden? I would definitely get advice on that eg from the neighbourhood police. I'm not familiar with the law, but that sounds like trespass to me, even if they are not actually standing in your garden. People are entitled to chop off branches etc which are overhanging their own garden, but I am pretty sure they are  not allowed to lean over and chop off anything in yours, whether they dislike it or not.
