Hey guys

I'm setting up accounts on other forums to start meat free days in places like clapham, Brixton etc and have noticed how great the EDF compared to other forums and local online community groups. Well done east dulwich for having such a super community feel, esp in context of getting involved in local things!

Hurrah for ED!

Tom

I tried experimenting last year and decided to Brian a Ham - I asked Salt Peter and Mable Syrup to help but when we saw the cost of the Fleur de Sel de Camargue we opted for the thrifty route and are preparing to brian some spam in dishwasher salt.

Well what the fuck is this thread about then?

Oh I see... alright...

Hey Guys! Isn't it great here! I love ED (and I love calling it ED and saying guys a lot).

But hey, well done you guys, seiously, the EDF is all about you and hey, you know, it would be cool if you ate less of our poor animal bro's (oops! and sisters too guys you know?) right guys? But hey, one step at a time guys - am I right! Ha, ha and lol, and omg (that's the vegan type of omg natch).

I know you guys are kidders but that's cool too - But you guys are super and you, like, engage too, you know? So just.. wow. Tofu rools! Ha, ha - just kidding (though the Tofu blood pudding at the bluebrick cafe tastes fab - just like real blood!).

Better?

Now then Nette, tell me about the ham brining. This is exciting, and what gets the juices of the EDF flowing.

    • That's a helpful update. I hope you get it recovered and repaired without further difficulty. Annoying it should have happened just after a service. At least no one could drive it away in the meantime!
    • Hi - a friend sent me this link…   The car is neither abandoned nor stolen! (Nor ever has been, so not sure why that has been suggested). It is mine, I collected it from service (and MOT as identified by some on here) on Friday, driving home it had a bit of a hissy fit and broke down! AA attended on Friday, could not recover it until this morning. Spoken to the nice people inside Westminster carpet on Friday who couldn’t have been kinder, I moved the car back from the doors of the property as best I could without blocking more parking spaces. Recovery should be here imminently. Apologies for any inconvenience.
    • That's very odd if they won't answer. Do they just say "no, we won't tell you that"? I can understand they wouldn't want you to get the bread direct from their source instead of from them, but why not just say that? If they baked it themselves, I imagine they would be only too happy to let people know.
    • Possibly one of the other local garage owners may know? Also, it's possible if the owners and staff are still in the area that they might see your post. They didn't post on here themselves (to the best of my knowledge) but they must have known that I did, as a couple of times the lady who worked in reception phoned me to ask me if I could  post in the "Lost" section when something dropped in Hansler Road had been handed in to them. Unfortunately I only have their office landline  number, which presumably disappeared when they closed. Good luck! Hopefully your service manual may turn up in an unexpected place.
