Hi,

I posted a while back to say that my MGB had been stolen. Through the forum, I have spoken to other people who have had their car stolen, and found that there have been a number of classic cars stolen in the area in recent months. This includes one where there has been excellent CCTV footage of the theft (https://www.telegraph.co.uk/news/2018/11/07/brazen-thieves-steal-classic-car-broad-daylight-using-car-push/)

If you have had a car stolen, and you would like to link your car up with the rest of us, for the Police to follow up, can you please drop me a PM?

Thanks

Emma

PS - Moderator, I know this is, technically, a lost and found subject, but can we keep it in the general section, so people see it, just for a bit? Thank you

    • Would this not be a complaint better aimed at the council? Isn't it an anti social behaviour issue?  I think of myself as pretty live-and-let-live and feel like a miserable cow for saying this, but I do think I might complain. Personally I love the sound of fireworks but our dog is under the table, shaking like a leaf night after night and collapses in the street when he hears the noise.  I'm worried his heart'll give out.
    • The lower / no bang noise fireworks sound great.    Is there anywhere local selling those?
    • This petition to reduce the noise of fireworks is currently going through Parliament https://petition.parliament.uk/petitions/738192
    • Have you complained to the solicitor directly and did they respond within the 8 weeks they have under their code of conduct - I presume they have and this is why you have escalated further to the SRA? If he doesn't respond in a timely fashion per the SRA code of conduct then I am sure they will need to take action.
