holloway
Pretty sure EDT was not always antic, I remember Ray telling me about the take over. BillyOcean
I remember the Drum, I used to get a cheeky Peroni whilst waiting for my Corner Cafe Thai meal.......Used to quite lively outside there on a Friday. KidKruger
Ooh, what?s the most offensive / provocative thing I can say on each thread ?No-one knows it?s me, I can hide on the Internet and let the drivel flow.I?m so far down the pecking order, and my prospects so limited, that I actually think East Dulwich population is posh by comparison to me, so I resent them through my jealousy.😭😭😭 Link to comment https://www.eastdulwichforum.co.uk/topic/21-the-best-bar-in-east-dulwich-2006/page/2/#findComment-1512829 Share on other sites

Siduhe
I for one welcome all the effort that Steven Taylor is putting into his latest incarnation. BillyOcean
Notimpressed, you are hilarious! I look forward to having a Mocho-latte with you soon. fishbiscuits
Inside 72 was a good little local "dive bar" (as the Americans might put it). I liked it, and there are similar-ish things in Peckham these days. To be honest I am not sure if it would do well in ED in the 2020s.The Drum... went in once with a friend. It was like accidentally walking into a stranger's living room. Had one drink and left. I guess it was a quiet night and the few other people in there all knew each other. Maybe a bit unlucky. BillyOcean
Good description of the Drum. It was like that, however I was only there for one pint, despite my Rocknrolla tag...The Old Cherry Tree was good, when the bar was in the middle. They used to show all of the hurlie and some hooky Palace games..... fishbiscuits
Ah yes... The Vale when it had the bar in the middle and pink lighting. Never really worked for me. Landlord was also a bit of a strange character (based on the one dealing I had with him). Sephiroth
Driving through Kent a couple of years ago I stopped at a random village pub. That very same couple were running this pub.
