Ooh, what?s the most offensive / provocative thing I can say on each thread ?

No-one knows it?s me, I can hide on the Internet and let the drivel flow.

I?m so far down the pecking order, and my prospects so limited, that I actually think East Dulwich population is posh by comparison to me, so I resent them through my jealousy.

😭😭😭

🤣🤣🤣

Inside 72 was a good little local "dive bar" (as the Americans might put it). I liked it, and there are similar-ish things in Peckham these days. To be honest I am not sure if it would do well in ED in the 2020s.

The Drum... went in once with a friend. It was like accidentally walking into a stranger's living room. Had one drink and left. I guess it was a quiet night and the few other people in there all knew each other. Maybe a bit unlucky.

It was an awful pub, and so was the landlord.

There was a short time when a really nice and enthusiastic couple ran it, renamed it The Cherry Tree and brought in an excellent chef, but the owners chucked them out and it went downhill again 🙄

Oh really? Can you remember the name of the village and/or the pub? I'd like to see them again too. They were lovely, and really shabbily treated.

    • I assumed they were somehow connected to or or supporters of Reform..this assumption is based on the fact when confronted by two of their collectors at Marylebone Station early one morning (around 7.30am) in the summer and I refused to donate one of them said "Don't you care about Army Veterans? Are you a Muslim? Don't you care about England?" I told them to F**k Off I may be old I may be small but I won't stand for Racism or Biggotry in any form. The whole term 'Blighty' smacks of Reform and flag waving racists

    • Any cyclist using Nairne Grove should have noticed the dangerous school streets bollard which was missing its metal cover, leaving it extremely dangerous to cyclists due to its ridiculous location on the corner. I'm amazed it hadn't been dealt with before but I reported it to the Council and within a few days it was sorted. As someone who broke a bone in a fall onto tarmac not long ago, I hope no one was injured in the meantime.  In future anyone can easily report dangerous road defects using:  https://www.fillthathole.org.uk/
