Thanks, got to where I needed to go!

Nor between Barry Road and just before Friern Road. There's also a section between Melford Road and Dulwich Common owned by TfL which hasn't been done either.

Singalto.. Yes I saw that. It makes me livid. They resurface in completely illogical, sectioned ways that must be extraordinarily expensive and causes unnecessary inconvenience. Each time having to close down substantial parts of the area, advance prep the site, suspend bays, bring in plant etc. In the last 3 years, one job was Grove Vale, but not including GG which was merely patch repaired but at a separate time. Which itself was separate from ED Rd, itself separate from the Worlingham Rd job. And then there was the quarter million NX Rd entrance fiasco when they just did about 50m of LL and then finally what they did in the last week. The section of LL remaining is in just as bad shape as what was renewed. The cost of restarting the site (as inevitably they will have to soon) will be eye-watering compared to doing the lot in one.

And in all of this they still haven't done a bloody thing to sort out the EDGrove/LL junction which remains incredibly dangerous for pedestrians.

If anyone can explain the council's logic unless it is to get the poorest value for money from our taxes, I'm all ears.

Kalamitikel, I hadn?t seen that before. It just seems odd to cause so much disruption and not do the whole thing. The bit of LL from the cinema to Woodfalls is not in great condition. They did that in my road a few years ago: just resurfaced half of it. The next day, a utility company dug part of the new surface up! I couldn?t believe my eyes! The second half of the road was redone a few years later!

    • Thought others may be interested to help a local community centre help others.    My bank account offers roundup and it’s been growing all year. As well as treating myself or putting it towards a train ticket to see my family I’ve made a donation to the Albrighton. They can use donations at any time but I hope my donation will go towards the Christmas hampers.    Can you support them so they can provide Christmas hampers?   https://www.justgiving.com/crowdfunding/albrightoncommunityfridge?utm_id=1&utm_term=M22JKQb6W   A donation of £50 will pay for a hamper to feed a family over this Christmas period. A donation of £30 will pay for a hamper to feed someone living on their own over the Christmas period.
    • I've never got Christmas pudding. The only times I've managed to make it vaguely acceptable to people is thus: Buy a really tiny one when it's remaindered in Tesco's. They confound carbon dating, so the yellow labelled stuff at 75% off on Boxing Day will keep you going for years. Chop it up and soak it in Stones Ginger Wine and left over Scotch. Mix it in with a decent vanilla ice cream. It's like a festive Rum 'n' Raisin. Or: Stick a couple in a demijohn of Aldi vodka and serve it to guests, accompanied by 'The Party's Over' by Johnny Mathis when people simply won't leave your flat.
    • Not miserable at all! I feel the same and also want to complain to the council but not sure who or where best to aim it at? I have flagged it with our local MP and one Southwark councillor previously but only verbally when discussing other things and didn’t get anywhere other than them agreeing it was very frustrating etc. but would love to do something on paper. I think they’ve been pretty much every night for the last couple of weeks and my cat is hating it! As am I !
    • That is also a Young's pub, like The Cherry Tree. However fantastic the menu looks, you might want to ask exactly who will cook the food on the day, and how. Also, if  there is Christmas pudding on the menu, you might want to ask how that will be cooked, and whether it will look and/or taste anything like the Christmas puddings you have had in the past.
