Its not just the advertising which is an eyesore its the fact that its taking up a huge amount of pavement space for no reason. Hard to manoeuvre round it - there is no point to it being there at all. They seem to be aware they are in the wrong yet the trailer is still there. Dont understand why they dont just move it and not risk losing any further custom and causing bad feeling.

Sorry James but I don't think you're doing anyone any favours by encouraging the perfidious bed-wetting tendency creeping onto the forum these days. Think my next pizza order will be PJ!

As I came by late this evening the trailer is still uncovered, surrounded by 3 delivery motor cycles - surely something can be done about this spread outside the shop - unsightly and taking up pedestrian space - are they just ignoring comments about this - are the other shops bothered?
I completely agree. I'm sure because certain people have too much time on there hands. I'm new to the forum and yet to find something positive. Anyone who has posted on this thread. Does this actually affect your view or yourself in any way??? I'm sure most of the comments are people just being bitchy.
One Reason East Dulwich is a nice place to live is because people DO CARE and do get involved. If they didnt then we could have easily ended up with a Drive in MacDonalds on Goose Green, NO football Stadium on Dog Kennel Hill, and no Leisure Centre. Thank God some people do care about their environment and not every one is lazy and buries their head in the sand. Aso the funds spent on Peckham rye Park only came about due to people campaigning for the funds. If you dont complain about what offends you we will get what we deserve.
So your view is to Bitch on here about a sign which they have clearly given a reason that their 4x4 has broken. At least by having it their the diesel fumes are not ruining the air anymore than it already is. I'm not disputing that what you do, it's the way that some people go about it. Bitching by so called adults is not really the way forward is it. Even people in here complaining about dog poo on their street. Seriously nothing else better to do. That's my point!

Now sat in swadesh and it all seems ok. People out drinking. Lets hope the yobs stay away!!

People complaining about yobs... pathetic.

Its not just the trailer its the 3 or 4 motorcycles that surround it too. Southwark put in the nice paving in front of the shops and the constant use of these bikes will damage the paving slabs - maybe if PJs were asked to pay for a replacement they may think differently. I think what is most annoying is the attitude of the shop in that they seem not to care what local people think - they are a new welcome new business in that row and should be trying to engage with their local customers not alienate them. Maybe they should answer some of the points raised on here.

    • Missing Cat! 11 months old/ Our friend, Coco, has gone missing. Last seen evening of 31st October near top of Henslowe rd where it meets Underhill Rd in SE22. We know she has started wandering up Friern Rd and further we guess but we imagine she has been spooked by Halloween / Fireworks goings on. She is a grey Siberian mix with some brown stripes down her, very friendly and likes to eat. Please let us know
    • That said, organised displays could be on Saturday before and after and the actual day, and private ones could just not have the loud ones.  It’s all down to accessibility and people caring/not caring
    • The problem this year is that 5th November falls on a Wednesday. So some places will be bringing their "bonfire night" forward to Saturday 1st and some will be knocking it back to Saturday 8th and there'll probably be a few that just go with Wednesday 5th anyway. If you're doing a public display, having it on a weekend gets more crowds. Which basically means a solid week of fireworks.
    • Fireworks in this area do feel totally incessant at this time of year, almost every evening there is terrible noise. I feel great concern for wildlife, pets (I have a senior cat who hates them), as well as people who struggle with PTSD etc. Last year I even had people setting them off in front of my home. Tonight and yesterday evening have been particularly bad. Is there anything we can do as a community to prevent this? What action can we take? Surely we shouldn’t be expected to just put up with it every year for weeks on end!
