Cheap Squash

Hello,

I hope some of you can help. My boyfriend and I are desperate to play Squash but the Hamlets sports club by Sainsburys is ridiculously expensive, they change ?10 for 40 mins. We have moved from Wales and used to pay ?5 for an hour. Does anyone know anywhere(not necessarily in Southwark) where we can play cheaper than ?10?

According to Brixton rec's website, squash is ?5.05 for 30 minutes so presuming you're going to want a full 45 min session then it'll obviously be similar money as hamlets, plus the hassle of going to Brixton and back. Hmm

I play at Hamlets once a week. Take it in turns to pay the fee so not so bad. Is it not cheaper to join Hamlets if you play a few times a week as I then dont think you pay the court fee as this is included in the mebership fee. Dont know fo so if this would be cheaper. Worth checking though.

Looks like Brixton rec has gone up - it's been a while... I think there is some sort of leisure key card membership thingy which means a reduced rate is payable. Not sure if they still do this.

We use Crystal Palace Sports Centre, it's ?4.60 off peak for 40 minutes

dulwich college have a squash only membership - ?14 a month I think (there is a joining fee) - but no court fees
