Sort of crapping on your own food miles arguement, aren't you?

Why is everyone digging this place out? Good luck to you bossman. Frankly, as long as you beat Threshers and Sommerfield on a deal for a crate of beer you'll be fine, whatever beer it is, especially in the summer. All these people who like to tell you what special organic beer they like to drink will soon grab a crate of stella if it's a bargain.

Since originally posting, I've been in here twice in a week now and whilst i'll still get my wine elsewhere the other drinks are pretty good - Bossman, you may remember me, it was my birthday and we bought a few bottles of champagne and some bourbon on saturday night?

I've also bought a few ales from here before, quite nice they were too. A Sam Smiths organic and a bottle of somehting else from Whitstable, also organic.

Two definite strengths are the late opening hours and the friendly service.

Thumbs up from the Horse.

If someone else hasn't already done so must very belatedly big up chi chi ra ra on northcross/upland......so many lovely treasures in here, and as far removed from a chain as you can get so should surely suit most ED forumites! Always my first point of call when a special occasion arises....

Erm, they're not an offie are they? What's that got to do with Bossman????

Is CCRR the place that has a load of strange handbags hanging outside on a Saturday???

EDIT: Are you on the wrong thread, perhaps??? :))

Hi there,

Thanks for your message, we have got about 40 different organic wines , which are likely to increase this week, and then got organic, beers, ciders, ales and stout!Organic wines are more or less got same price as normal wines!

if you like certain product you are welcome to suggest us, your suggestion will be taken into consideration.

Regardin the name "Bossman" no great philosophy behind it, just bit different and something that sticks in the mind.

    • I think there's a lot in what you say. Although bi election results aren't usually indicative of GE results, I was horrified to see Reform support was so high in what had previously been a Labour stronghold, Labour and Conservative results reflecting the tired old parties they are.  It isn't our generation (sorry @Sue if I'm being presumptuous!) that will decide the outcome of elections but those in their 20s, 30s, 40s ... if they can be bothered to vote. The Greens and Reform now present a real choice instead of two centrist main parties of the last 30 years which has put people off voting. Perhaps locally I will continue to vote Labour, i really couldn't bear for the LibDems to return and we have to consider the demographic of the whole of Southwark. But come the GE I will probably vote Green.
    • I agree but in the case of McAsh, that would just have left his constituents without a councillor for 3 months until the May elections. MPs switching parties is really galling. If an MP is suspended for law breaking etc., then a recall petition can be issued and, if enough of the constituents support it, a by-election is called. I think the same should apply for defectors.
