I presume that someone is clearing the bottles away, given that we aren't awash with them.

Actually I've never seen one of these bottles myself, even though I live near where they are alleged to proliferate. And no-one in densely populated ED has seen anyone putting them there. I'm wondering if this is not all an elaborate leg-pull.

Last week I was thinking he had stopped as I hadnt seen any bottles for quite a while, ( I presume a he so I will stick to referring to the culprit as he )

So imagine my surprise yesterday morning 1O Oct 12

He really as outdone himself this time

I counted 28 bottles in all see pic attached.

He hadnt stopped, he was just making a bigger effort to save up his output for one spectacular

Can people please stop talking about a cabbie and oil

I havent tested the stuff but it is watery, not oily.

This is likely to be a local person with personality/mental problems.

It's not causing any harm, but is equally annoying and mysterious.

having said that, any volunteers in the area to install a webcam/cctv overlooking that corner of Crawthew/Worlingham roads

My Earlier posts on this subject was that it was the work of person trying to emulate Banksy.

I seem to be the only person with that opinion at that time as I was shot down in flames. Then what's new.

I have never thought it was Pee, but if the council are cleaning this up then surely they could answer this.

There have been periods of inactivity .

Not sure if that is because there were no incidents, or they were not being reported.

The two seem to coincide, but having said that, if there were no incidents there would be no reports.

Like I have said before, I have only seen one occurance of this.

Whether it is Pee or oil, it is deliberate.

If it was some sort of 'Artistic' prank I would feel there would be more sites.

Ok. so it has taken 9 months to prove it is urine.

Cabbies are having the finger pointed at them.

Logically any cab driver would pour his pee down the nearest drain.

Or are we to believe they all meet up with their bottles and one of them

takes them and places them at a dedicated site.

Or is it the work of a Crank. ??

What makes most sense. ??

We have just moved to Ladywell Road, SE13, and I've just found one of these bottles in our front garden. It's a small soft drinks bottle, full of a liquid that looks exactly like urine to me.

Has anyone started plotting these on a map?

p.s. The taxi driver theory seems plausible, by why would they not place them into the nearest wheelie bin?

If you are so lazy & knuckle dragging that you can't get out of your car to pee ....... what chance is there that you will have the brains to get out of the car to fly tip your piss into somebody else's bin???

I'm completely unconvinced by the theory that all this is attention seeking or planned ..... I fear we simply have an anti social arse-hole in our midst.

    • I'm guessing they're busy. I found out just now that the SNT has tracked down the kids who attacked my dog, had strong words with their parents, and the gang has now broken up. I got a lot of detail, which I won't go into here, but it sounds as if they were also quite compassionate towards some of the kids, who came from less than optimal backgrounds, shall we say.  I know that those kids had nothing to do with the attack of the man in August and that they are also aware of the fireworks problem. Sounds like good community policing.
    • I'd rather go to actual local Safer Neighbourhood Team meetings and see the whites of their eyes.  Ours in Peckham Rye Park ward (maps of areas the ward covers are on the police website; no idea about the new one!) used to be very well attended, but sadly now not so.  The local police of the SNT seem to change far too regularly so they never have a chance to really know the area and the people.  And the last meeting, held at the Tenants Hall of Brenchley Gardens (so right on the edge of the geographical area), was held with one day's notice.  Not good.
    • Friends of Peckham Rye Park sent emails to its members (do join if you can; it's useful) saying a few nights ago a fire was started on the SE22 side of the park by kids with fireworks.  Horrific.
