I don't know its name, but in the early 90s it sold cut-price Levis, did tailoring, and had a stack of porn mags in the back. Somewhere off Lordship Lane. Black middle aged gent who ran it, said it was a good distraction for blokes out shopping with their other halves.

Meanwhile do we have any local shops (or wider) with funny names to compete with: (I've visited the boutique in France, but it doesn't quite live up to its name)

It was on Whateley Rd, junction with Cyrena Rd I think. It's converted to a house now. Bloke would try feel you up as he 'fitted' your jeans and make pseudo-homosexual small talk in hope of giving you a semi-on.

You were invited to glance at the magazines out back while changing. Like you've popped-in to buy some jeans but fancy a bit of porn while at it - hmmm right.

Can't remember his name/name of his shop but it's mentioned on another thread about old shops back in the 90s.

It's still there. They have some hardcore stuff - giraffe head and necks, elephant heads, whole hippos... and an Arkful of smaller animals.

    • Where are the far left in all of this flag business? Thats a red herring  there is the far right leading this nonsense, a lot of people following them who claim to be ordinary people (but very little digging and oh guess what) and them there is everyone else (right, centre, left) opposing them    there is no “both-sides” on this
    • Deleted as I've just repeated what has already been said!
    • That is hilarious (not really) but what about all the copious parking for e-bikes and scooters?
    • How beautifully ironic, the article says mobs putting flags up are roaming the streets shouting "Sieg Heil" the cry of our enemy in ww2 determined to take our sovereignty away.  Its almost moronic. I saw something the other day that discussed how the medoa highlights the opposing ends of the situation, with the extreme right at one end and the far left at the other. What it mention are the ordinary people in the middle who don't support either extremes but still have genuine views that are being ignored by the media.
