Is anyone still keen to do this on Thursday?

Would Dulwich park be the preferred meeting point or would meeting by Goose Green or Peckham rye be easier?

It would be good to get an idea of what kind of distance people might want to do and I can sketch out a potential route?

This website may be of use to you Mrs G www.mapometer.com you may already know about it though. If the park is closed at that time you can run from the court lane gate down to the village, left into the village, throught the village, left onto the south circular, left onto lordship lane, left back down court lane back to where you started. That route is just over 2 miles and may be a good first session while you all get to know each other's paces etc. As long as you just turn lft no one can get lost. Hope this helps - sorry I can't help interfering!

Have a good run!

I run, and am reluctant to go out alone in the evenings now that it's dark. I'll keep an eye on this thread to see how you do in terms of pace/distance (I can't generally do Tues or Thurs but occasionally have those evenings free). I can comfortably do 4 - 6 miles at 9:30/10 min mile pace.

Alternatively, I sometimes run with my baby in the buggy (meaning boring laps of Dulwich Park!) immediately after school drop off in the mornings. I did 3 laps this morning, so let me know if anyone fancies joining me (my pace is slower with the buggy).

Sounds good to me.

I can do this Thurs and both days next week hopefully.

I've just signed up for a 9 mile run with my colleagues so need to get training!

Could I suggest meeting by Goose Green, maybe outside Jojo Maman Bebe? So that those of us from all corners of ED don't have too far to come from?

Pickle, I fear the dark nights closing in too!

I'm training for a 1/2 M and during the week I do medium speed run (prob about 10 mins mile pace) and/or hill session and/or sprints - let me know if you fancy meeting up one night. I normally run on a Mon (to nursery for pickup) and Wed/Thur nights.

Glad it's just not me Mrs Glennie! Nursery staff are starting to get used to my alarmingly red and sweaty face. My top tip is to leave bottle of water and warm layer in the pram at nursery, so you don't seize and dehydrate too much once you've done pickup.

    • I agree there are other options, but apart from cutting off bits of the body, which is probably not going to happen here, at least hopefully not in my lifetime, I wouldn't call them"stricter"! Unfortunately ultimately it may depend on what is cost effective in terms of implementation.
    • This year it was Pfizer. Last year was Moderna and I was quite  ill after it for the first time. I think last year was the only time I have had Moderna, but the illness may have been nothing to do with what kind of jab it was, I don't know. I have no idea whether everyone gets the same one in any particular year, but I'm sure someone else on here will know!
    • Thanks for posting this JMK we have had 3 children at Charter East so have been involved with the school from the very early days and have watched the impact of inconsistent, unsupportive and at worst unprofessional and biased management on them over the years. Individual teachers have at times been great and as JMK says it is the overall structure that creates a toxic and punitive atmosphere which directly impacts some families more than others and these are the kids overwhelmingly that have an SEN.  The experience of these families is night and day compared with the families with children that can cope in this system.
    • Another recommendation for Lukasz, he sorted out our bifold door. He came at the agreed time, found the issue very quickly, adjusted it, all very carefully and with attention to detail. And he was very reasonably priced as well.
