Thanks all, I checked out all of the suggestions. Family from out of town who aren't adventurous and were put off by the Lebanese Bakery without even checking out the menu http://thelebanesebakery.com/homepage-london/#menu

That's on the cheap and cheerful side

Passed the Salisbury on SML which was always a fall back but whilst not full everyone was taking up twice the space no easy room - reasonably priced pub fare.

So did the Zedel as it ticked lots of boxes but will try out some of the others when next in town.

I worked near Traf Square ten years ago but of course everything changes.

It's good but overpriced. The Delaunay is better for similar food.

Go for a Angus steak house, they are all over Piccadilly. Never been but "Hard Rock" cafe is popular. Have a lovely evening.

    • Did you know that registered medical practioners are supposed to report a notifiable disease to the UK HEALTH security Agency UKHSA. This includes COVID-19.  There’s  quite a long list of other diseases they must report too. They include cholera, diphtheria, acute infectious  hepatitis A/B/C, acute meningitis and acute enchephalitis.

    • We went in for a quote for our tiny bathroom and they said it would cost £8-10k for off the shelf items and installation.   We looked around and found https://thehousemartin.co/about He did the work for less than 5k, including plastering, carpentry of a custom cabinet, plumbing, painting and tiling. The quality of finished work was very high so we can't recommend him highly enough, the only additional cost to us was purchasing the fixtures.
